zaino on a repainted car.

hey all,

i just got the entire front of my car repainted after buying a new facia for it and i remember some talk of waiting a certain ammount of time before you can put zaino on it because of the aftermarket repaint. Anyone have some info on this subject? the rest of my car is zaino'd and i wanna get back to making it look great again but i don't want to do something wrong by not waiting for a proper cure time on the paint. any help would be great.

I'm pretty sure you can use the z-6, or any other qd as long as it doesn't contain any carnuba in it.

You can also use a polish on a freshly re-painted car.

I too just got some body work done on my door and fender. He said to wait about 45 days before waxing the car. Since Zaino is technically a polish, and not a wax, would it be alright to zaino? I'll probably wait the 45 days just to be safe, but I was just wondering...

If I'm not mistaken, Z seals the paint and creates a layer of protection... which is not good for newly painted surfaces.... IHG or other polishes are, though.

I think it all depends on the ambient temperature and humidity... I'm no expert with paint jobs but logic tells me that paint should cure faster in a dry, hot area compared to a damp, cool area... But most painters here (in hot and humid Manila) recommends a timeframe of 3 months or so (90days)
