Zaino equivalents in Duragloss lineup?

Oh yeah, and FC&S ~ Z6. The DG Marine Detailer is stronger than FC&S, but is so loaded with polymers (or whatever it leaves behind) that it can be streaky on glass. It's clearly more powerful than FC&S, but I prefer regular FC&S for this reason.

For those who consider DG FC&S and Z-6 similar, can FC&S be used as Z6 between sealant applications w/o compromising the bonding of the sealant?

Man, don't you guys remembered what happened to TigerMike when he started talking about this stuff??

I believe I remember him being a die hard DG user. Then one day he had a talk with Sal, and was converted over to Zaino. Is this what you're talking about??

If not please refresh our memories... lol

Well...almost. He had been a Zaino user, then had become a DG super-user and would talk in terms of the products being interchangable, as in this thread. Then he had the "talk" with Sal, came back and said he was wrong, that Zaino was completely different and superior in every way to DG...and then we never heard from him again!

PS Sal, if you're listening, I'm just joking around, and there is no personally identifiable information that you can get from my user ID...:nervous:

Yeah, he did disappear.

Do you think he's in "cement shoes" at the bottom of a river?

:har:

I think Tiger Mike just couldn't take the crap we were throwing at him after his re-birth. Me? I've used DG products and thought they were very good, they never had that finicky - have to cross your fingers crap that I had with zaino. As far as sealants go, I switched to Blackfire Wet Diamond - and IMHO, it's a notch above either zaino or DG.

OMG how can I forget that saga. He was a die hard Zaino user. Switches over to DG and starts bashing Zaino and swearing how much better DG was. Has a conversation with Sal and then an epiphany happens. He switches back to Zaino and is never heard again. Last thing I hear it was a hit from the Zaino mafia

Well, I dunno about you guys, but living in NJ, if someone with an Italian last name tells you to think a certain way...:bolt

Ha ha...you guys have been watching too many Sopranos reruns...anyone from NJ knows that all that stuff is...absolutely realistic!!:hide:

Ha, ha! Well, I'm hoping they're compatible only enough for me to exhaust my current Zaino supply. Assuming I'm satisfied with the ease of use, durability and protection from the Duragloss line of course.

But you're right about Sal. A friend in town who used to be a Zaino distributor got a call one day from Sal. Seems my friend's partner had made the mistake of selling Zaino outside his area and my friend was as yet unaware of the situation. As I recall, the conversation started like this.

(Ring, Ring)

Friend: Hello?

Sal: Why you bustin' my chops?

:)

That's exactly how I remember it.

Zaino makes some good products so does Duragloss simmiliar to both but enough differences so they are different.

In the looks department Zaino wins.

I don't see any different in looks department. Nothing at all. Both are similar to me except a premium vs a norm.

Of course people who paid a premium will never agreed that the product is similar to a norm product. Thats human mentality.

From what I heard Zaino and DG use the same chemicals but they are mixed different.

Your'e right; Zaino is a (amino functional siloxane ) polymer sealant and Duragloss is an acrylic polymer

looks like duragloss revamped their site, looks nice...

Agreed...

Looks like they lowered the price of the gallon of CWC to $20.00 which is a killer deal while keeping the shipping at $5.
