Zaino cleaner...when?

I haven't but I'm looking forward to it. It sounds like something that will be very useful "IF" it works good. Since they changed FP to FPII and added some oils, I have not been able to find a cleaner, chemical or not, that leaves the surface perfect for sealants. AIO is great but leaves protection that I don't necessarily want. I agree with Matt it is my go to product for jams and windows and even rims sometimes, but I want a cleaner that is water based and doesn't leave anything behind that may effect bonding. This new Zaino cleaner seams to fit the hole in my detailing that I want filled. I hope it's reasonably priced, and I hope Zaino breaks out of their small sizing and offers a large version of it, again assuming it works good. If it's as good as what they have been making latley I'm sure it will be a high quality product. Zaino seams to release things at a slow pace and put a lot of effort into the products.
 
Is this new Z-product going to be a hand application or is it something I'll be able to use with my Porter Cable?

Could I use Menzerna, then apply the new Zaino cleaner? Or would I just use the new cleaner and then Z5, Z2pro, etc. What would you suggest.

Does the product work equally well with a PC or rotary?
 
The new Zaino cleanser/polish (Z C/P) can be used by hand, PC or rotary. Rotary in the proper hands will always yield superior results but PC works very well and my means of choice for this product. It is a breeze to use.

The PC/rotary pads I have been using are:

Meg polishing (yellow)

ExcelDetail polishing pad (blue) and

LC polishing pads (white)



My initial prep is performed with Menzerna IP or DACP followed by Z C/P.
 
I was wondering which pad would be a very mild cut pad to use with the Zaino. The paint on my car is in excellent condition but I am just trying to get rid of some of the small finite toweling marks. I had been using the Griot's Orange pad.



Also where is a good place to buy quality velcro backed pads for the PC?

You can use a finishing pad. I use such a pad on the Z28 (garage queen driven about 200 miles / year).



Pad vendors: ExcelDetail, Meguiars and Lake Country. I have used these vendors pads with excellent results and durability. The Autopia store also carries the Sonus line of PC pads.
 
The waiting is killing me, I want to Z my truck now that I have the time. I figure I'd wait till its avail because I need some other Z products as well. Can I Z5, Z2pro my truck now and later add the new Z c/p without it removing my current Z ?

I'm no expert on this new product, but it seems to me you could probably NOT do this, as it seems to be intended as a prep for the whole Z2/Z5 layering phase. If you were to use this product on top of a sealant, it will probably remove what you have on the paint. I'll let one of the others who have more experience with the product chime in for certainty though!
 
The Z C/P will remove any LSP that is presently on your vehicle including Zaino. One can not repair minor surface paint blemishes without this LSP removal process. :wavey

Are the Sonus pads in the Autopia store good pads? I was thinking about getting the package that had the backing plate and the different pads with it.:cool:



Also I hear alot about the Menzerna polishes. What would be their cutting polish to get rid of light scratches? I'm hoping to use a mildly aggressive polish and then go with the new Zaino product to finish and then do the Zaino process.

I don't know if I can wait any longer for this product! I'm ready to strip my WG off and start the Zaino layering already. Come on Sal!

from being a long user of zaino products and with the recent results i've achieved with z2 pro and z8 , I'm more than confident this zaino cleaner will suffice.
 
Getting closer to the Z c/p due date. Driving me crazy going through Z withdraw, need.. to wax truck... Waiting on this before I place an order for all my Z needs
