Zaino cleaner...when?

Alos how would its compatability be with other sealants or waxes, is their some Zaino in their? :p

This product will work with any LSP system. It leaves the surface smooth, glossy, denuded of any previous LSP and deposits no protectant (wax or acrylic), no oil, no silicone, and no fillers, :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs

For heavy swirling and surface imperfection corrections (yearly) Menzerna IP is my go-to product prior to finishing the polishing session with the Zaino cleanser/polish. The Zaino C/P has diminishing abrasives that start at about 1/2 the level of DACP and reduces down to a glazing/burnishing product.

This product can be used several times a year like AIO without ill-effects on the clearcoat's health.

If I had to rate the new Zaino products introduced this year, I would rate the Cleanser/Polish at the top. That's a pretty strong statement about Zaino C/P considering would well the Z2-PRO and Z8 have performed and advanced the Zaino system.

Keep work the great work Sal!!! :bow

Would you compare it to #80 in terms of cut?

Thanks:xyxthumbs

Cool I was gonna get a lighter cut polish than the SSR2.5 I have now but that helps cause I'm gonna return to Zaino once this product comes, with that Z8 and Z2 Pro. I'm excited:bow

Personally, I find the corrective effects of Meg#80 (Speed Glaze) very minor and it filling and oil enhancements to be it major activity. This was tested by using #80 and performing a IPA wipedown afterwards. Some correction but required multiple passes (application and buffing session) to eventually correct marring. One pass with IP followed by one pass Z C/P did the trick.

The end point can be reached with both these excellent products. The Meg #80 will require a IPA wipedown or a Z7 wash to maximally prep surface for Zaino sealants. The Z C/P does not require this post polishing, and potentially re-marring step, after application (cleansing/polishing).

If time is money and the reduction in the manipulation of the vehicle's finish is important, these differences will mean something.:wavey

I might have to check out that Menzerna IP, I was just getting used to SSR. Thanks for your replies bz28. I'm tryin' to figure what it compares to in terms of cut would it be equal to say SSR1 or 2. Just trying to figure how much damage it does more like a SMR, I know you mentioned AIO is it along those lines?

Sorry to be reptitive:nixweiss

No problem True Blue,

IMO Zaino C/P is very close to SSR1 in initial cutting strength, if Steve hasn't changed his initial formulation from a couple of years ago.

If SSR1 is a 1, Zaino C/P is an initial 0.75 - 0.9 but reduces down to close to 0.00.

Zaino C/P is more in line with products like VM, AIO, WG pre-cleaner, P21S GECP in terms of performance perimeters. The difference lies in that the Z's mission is completely physical corrective activity (diminishing abrasives) and has no chemical cleansing, filling or oil enhancement activity. The gloss is the true gloss of the prepped finish.

To receive, as usual, the highest gloss and smoothness, one must still use his/her polishing protocol (IP, DACP, SSR series, etc) but finish with Zaino C/P. Only minor blemishes from normal activity (driving, washing, QD'ing, inconsiderate jerk at work leaning of the fender ;) ) or protectant re-newal time - Zaino C/P will do the job perfectly as a one-step cleanser/polish.

Hope this helps. :wavey

IPA = isopropyl alcohol

The new Z product sounds quite promising. I'm really looking for forward to it. I have several products that I have ried over the past year and I keep coming back to Zaino. I think with the new Z8 and the new ZC/P, they now have a complete line. I also think with the ZC/P it will take a alot of confusion away from the Z process. :up

I've been holding off a reorder as well, waiting for the release of the new ZC/P.

Thanks for clearing that up. This is one Z product, along with Z2Pro that I really should try. I should start gathering funds up now.

BTW, do you know what size bottle he will be selling it in?...8oz. ; 16oz.???

Sounds like it would work well with EX-P and Shokar (if it ever becomes available here).

No info on price or size(s) available. My guess is 8 oz. I will let you as soon as Sal lets me know.

I will say that 1 oz by PC did the sides. hood and rear of my Escalade (white), less than 0.75 oz my black Z28 convertible and about 1.5 oz on my step-son's Mazda 6(white). Worked equally as well on both colors. I was able to use this product in direct Spring sunlight on the Escalade (white) and Madza 6 (white) without any problems. I never work on black in the sun even if products states that it is sun friendly.:xyxthumbs

That's going to make me mad. If this is a good product, I'm really going to be pushing for a 32oz. or 1gal. size. Sure I've got lots of DACP to use, but I get the impression I'm going to like this better than DACP in several situations.

I'm jonesin':bounce . I like Zaino when I used it, its looks were good but the durability was awesome and for my wifey's Murano that doesn't get the TLC as often as the Stang. I have been using EX-P and love it. But with the looks of the Z2pro and durability+ a SMR product I gotta give a :bigups

Oh one last thing does the Zaino cleaner contain any protective properties?

Sorry if I missed that:) !

all i have to say is bye bye to my AIO.. :-)

To be fair, I still use AIO in those places where it is a PITA to detail. These areas include deep areas in door jams, tailgate area of SUV, engine compartment and undercarriage painted areas. These places I like a one-step cleaner and protectant and AIO and 1Z MP fill the bill.

That's very true. Those are areas I still will use the Meguiar's No. 20 too, because it's a good one step too.
