I think what he is referring to is that when someone asks what Zaino products they need, several people will pretty much list every Zaino product there is. Personally, I think the "needs" are ZAIO, Z2 or Z5 and Z10 if you have leather. All the rest are not really "needs" but "wants". Throw in that those people then list eleventy billion steps involving all the Zaino products and you have what looks to the average person to be a very complicated, long and expensive process.
Once the paint is polished, ZAIO + Z2 or Z5 is a pretty quick, easy and relatively inexpensive process that will leave a pretty durable finish. Once you get that down, then adding another Zaino product or two into the mix is pretty easy without an overwhelming first Zaino detail.
Yes and no. Its definately over complicated when you do a million steps and coats. Most people don't have the time spend doing all that unless they a have a garage queen and can take a few days or weeks .
I have always felt that I should use the same product line to synergistically get the best results and truly test the durability. For example DG to me is better when I wash with 901 put a coat of 601 before 105, also I think OS is better over PS& the new OFP then anything else. Recenty I bought CMW and just got RMG with VMG & QS on its way . Last week I washed with ONR used a precleaner, EZ cr then CMW although On my car it muted the metallic it was wetter than hell. ( please don't send 2001 pictures my statement is for my car ) my car only comes out a couple time aweek and is virtually defect free. When i bring my car to work which was the case yesterday I had 20 people tell me car looks real wet but you can't see the metallic as good. My point is this morning after ONR the a pre cleaner I use RMG by PC the used cmw by PC and I am waiting for the sun to come up and take a look. I fully believe that the looks will be much improved with rmg under it. Which is also why I got QS.
For Zaino I believe the must haves are Z7, ZPC or ZAIO ,Z5,zfx and Z8, Z10 if you have leather. IMO zfx makes a difference . So you wash, polish then a coat or 2 of Z5 then Z8.
Whats complicated to me is 4 different polishes that have to be buffed for 74 hours with a ton of different pads then having to do the rest of the car.
Don't get me wrong the work here and on other sites is awesome. These before and afters are incredible.
So even a wash, ZPC ,Zaio, Z5 or Z2 ( 2 coats) then Z8 is not so bad.
By the way for me Z8 is so increible that I add 2 capfuls to ONR ( of course when I an using Z) It actually works quite well as a NR, well an expensive one.
I prefer to use the same product line when possible.
