Zaino & Aquapel Hold Up Great!!

We've had the winter from hell in Detroit. At least that's what it's felt like.

I put three layers of ZZZ-2 with ZFX on my '96 Taurus, and my wife's '02 Escape, and used Aquapel for the first time on all the glass on both vehicles last October. Stopped hand washing around Halloween, because of the weather. Both vehicles got weekly washes using those touch-less car washes you see at some gas stations. I used Z-6 maybe twice since the beginning of November, three times at the most.

Yesterday Mother Nature smiled on Detroit - we got up to 71 degrees!! :)

I washed both of our cars/truck with Z-7 and man, did the Zaino keep beading water!! I'm impressed that it stood up to all that salt and the harsh detergents that the automatic car washes use.

The Aquapel help up too!! Even on the windshield!! Beads like crazy still.

I'm a convert. Pure and simple!!

Glad to hear it Len! Good work! Z's slickness and beading really do seem to last forever! :xyxthumbs

Yea, I'm really pleased. Hell, I'm surprised. With all the salt that they put down around here every time it snows, and as messy as the cars got, Zaino never lost any of it's slickness. For that matter, the Aquapel outlasted Rain-X by three times already.

Even my wife is impressed, and that takes some doing for a car care product to make any impression on her!!:bounce

Yep!:xyxthumbs

That's exactly what I use on the PT right now. About 30 layers of Zaino and Aquapel all around...:D

The Aquapel's held up for a good seven months now(and in Seattle winters, that's saying a lot!);)

Oh yeah, and the Zaino's bulletproof, too:D

:wavey

I've put about 6 layers of Z-2 now but seems like they are not very dust repel. I saw dust on my car for sitting outside for two days, I will see if they still bead after I wash it this weekend.

zaino works great even on windows

what ya need aqualpel for? (sorry if this is a stupid question)

does aquapel last longer than zaino for the windows?

Aquapel is great! :up Lasts at least 6 months through the winter. No need to use wipers at high speed in rain.

Salt, grime does sticks less and is easier to remove with wipers. never tried Zaino on the windoes, though...

I really like Aquapel, it is "the best" for windows, two applications per year work fine. I have used Zaino on windows also.

With Aquapel, I rarely need windshield wipers, unless I am in stop and go traffic. Water hits the window, beads up, and either rolls down, or is blown off by the wind. It is amazing and you should try it once. RainX is not in the same league.

Zaino kind of acts like Aquapel, but it is not nearly as effective.

Does anyone know where I can buy Aquapel (PPG product)? I end up having it applied at Royal Glass or some Jiffy Lubes, but would rather do it myself.

Aquapel is one of those WOW! products.

I'm an Aquapel convert too :xyxthumbs Like Lou said, Rain-X isn't even in the same league. I bought mine on Ebay. I just did a search and the same guy I bought mine from is still selling it. I bought 7 of them at a time for around $25.
