Zaino Applicator pad??

JaCkaL829

it was my first time...
I just gave my car a much needed wash after the past couple months in the NE. Anyway I'm looking to polish out all the marring from all the snow tommorow and figure I'll give my Zaino a shot. I'm just a little skeptical off the big cotton applicator pads I received my order. They look like they can be very abrasive to my paint, which would blow after I just polish my car out. My paint is very soft (Honda) and it's black so anything and everything will show.

So my question is would it be better to just use a yellow foam applicator for the Z5 Pro or must I use the cotton pad?

You can't polish with a yellow foam pad..I would get a microfiber foam app and use that.

John: If you don't like the cotton (true 100%, will not scratch), then go with MF...I found the foam applicators to work poorly with Zaino.

Mist the pad prior to with some Z6 and you are set.

Oh, and since you are a photographer, pics are in order :).

Have to agree with my fellow compatriots.

Zaino loves cotton but don't know why. It also loves MF but do know why. But it hates foam.

Last week ordered my ZAIO, ZCS and several cotton appl pads. I own a 06 Civic. Stick with Z cotton or MF appl's.

100% USA cotton towels are probably the least abrasive material one can use on a vehicle's finish. MF's are just cheaper "alternatives" that retain their softness with minimal care in comparison to quality cotton utensils and last longer than a fine 100% cotton towel.

As a matter of fact one of the finest MF's available, DF Towels, is made from a natural cotton derivative. The cotton applicator supplied by Zaino are some of the best around. Their only drawback is their endurance after multiple washings.

For the application of Zaino, like other LSP's, one can use MF applicators or sponge-type en lieu of cotton. from my experience cotton or MF work best.
