Zaino - Anything new coming out from them fairly soon?

The final results are in the prep. Some still don't understand that. Thanks!

Do you recall what you used in the last polishing step on that detail? PO85rd? Ultrafina? Something else?

That is a the wettest I have ever seen silver, incredible work.

I really wish they would update their website more than once a year. They still have the Z2Pro release from 2004 under the "What's New" page. Come on. And they've had the 350Z on the front page now for several months. Is it that hard to swap pictures and add a short description maybe once a month?

Thanks! It's been a while but I think I remember IP, Cyclo, green pads as the only step of polishing. Z1 and a single coat of Z2 Pro. The car was new as well.

Really? I am amazed you were able to get that kind of finish using a polishing pad (versus a finishing pad) and a polish with decent cut (versus a finish polish).

Again, excellent work.

I was surprised as well. There was no change in the surface after using a finishing polish under bright lights.

Thanks again for the compliments!

Good to read that I am not the only one who have the same experience :thx

Oh, and the paint looks just stunning!

Yea, no kidding! Seems too many all think they can get that "Nu-Finish" results by just applying a product and it's supposed to look great. Wax or sealant, it HAS to go on a finish that has been polished to the best it can be.

Otherwise, you're waisting time and money and only kidding yourself.

Deanski

There have been rumors floating around that Sal has some things coming but I have heard anything definite. It seems Sal keeps things quiet until he is ready to release.

It is my assumption that companies like Meguiars, Zaino, Optimum and such are ALWAYS working on something, trying new things and just tinkering with existing products. It could be the case where for every ten products they experiment with, only one or two make it to the market.

wow! so i started this thread in 4/2007 and now we are 4/2010 and other than towels, nothing from zaino.

Maybe it's hard to release new products when their existing porfolio is already awsome. :think2

The thing about Zaino is they never have sales or specials. I can't tell you how much money I would have spent if they just threww out a bone once and a while. Free shipping or 10 to 20 percent off would get me to spend money. Instead it gets spent other places.

I wonder how many other customers feel the same way?

+1

they at least need free shipping on orders over 75 or so.

No doubt Zaino products are great quality but Sal routinely tweaks products without ever announcing it to the public. Both Z8 and Z16 have been been reformulated within the last few years.

IMO there could be a few reasons:

1. I see other LSPs that are priced in the $80-150 range, so when they are half off I always wonder what the margins are (they are not loosing money at half off.)

2. Maybe sales of Zaino are good enough not to warrant a sale or free shipping.

Again JMO.

i often wonder about this as well...

i bring this up because if you go to the very start of the thread i asked the question "what's coming from zaino". the answer was, they are "working on something right now" (hint z2pro + zfx = z2pfx)....3 years later the answer is they are "working on something right now".......

like all manufacturers they update their products, sometimes to make better, often times to reduce their costs. however, i have the latest z2p/z5p/z6/z8 and i haven't noticed any real difference in the last 3 years. have any of you?

Apparently not quite correct.

And what makes you an expert on this matter? Sal releases products when he feels the time is right-obviously for whatever reason-maybe technology, cost, raw material supply, the time isn't right. Zaino already has industry leading durability and UV protection so what else do you guys expect Sal to do?

I noticed that Z8 was reformulated a few years ago to be more user friendly with less streaking.
