Zaino and non-Z QD's Compatibility?

You have to get Z8 the stuff is amazing.

Oh yea! That Z8 is like crack to me! :bigups For between coats, I still use Z6 now and then, but after using Z8.... Now THAT'S a serious QD! Very slick and glossy!

I use it on the Porsche, which is black as you can see, and it's really nice stuff!

The new Z5 Pro is much better than previous. Better hiding and much better gloss w/o that "plastic-wrap" look.

If used correctly, you'll be very happy with Zaino. Sure, it's more steps for best results, but then again, after it's done you'll see all the hard work pay off! :bow :wow:

Just make sure your finish is as close to perfect as Zaino does highlight some defects.

Got my kit and Z8 yesterday. I AM GOOD TOOOOO GO... either have endure the long wait for the weekend or find a way to do a work-from-home day. Very anxious.

SilverLexis - I know what you mean 'bout the Dark Side, man. It's been gradually grabbing hold of me over the last few weeks until {WHAM} it just became all consuming.

Deanski - Actually, I'm use to ton's of steps in my process, most of which are applying additional sealant layers and frequent QD's. So, I'm actually looking forward to spending less time waiting for curing to complete with the Z process so I can have more show-off drive time :bigups

My cars have very, very few imperfections, so I am anticipating that Z5Pro will cover these well. I'm anticipating applying 3 layers of Z5Pro and 3 layers of Z2Pro. That should be a good start, eh?

A few more questions:

* After clay & Dawn wash, should a layer of Z6 be applied or just inbetween coats of polish?

* Just want to confirm that Dawn will cut massive quantities of sealants, not just wax buildup. Between my 3 auto's there are tons of layers of WG, BF, FMJ and HGAS, and the vast majority of documentation on the Z sites refer to Dawn cutting wax without reference to sealants.

* If I do need to correct any imperfections I should wash with Z7 to rid the surface of any residue before starting the polishes?

* I have massive quantities of PB Bug Squash and S&W - I assume I can still use these, just won't need to use them as frequently, right? I've read that a routine of misting distilled water & wipe followed by Z6/Z8 may be the preferred approach to minor cleaning (bug splats, etc).

Thanks for your help...
