Zaino and Meguiar's NXT

Ok so we have come to the assumption that I should be ok. I think I will call Sal tommorrow though just to figure out what he thinks. Thanks for the help though as the comments still seem split 50/50 LOL.

First of all, the silicone content of NXT will not allow Zaino to properly adhere above it.

Second, the cleaners in NXT will at least partially remove the Zaino. According to Meg's, there are both chemical and abrasive cleaners in NXT. (To what extent seems to vary by opinion.)

If it were my car...I'd Dawn wash and re-Zaino. Then again, between Z2 & Z8, I see no reason to top Z anyhow.

Well from what I can tell after washing it today, since it has been 2 weeks or so, it seems to be holding up pretty decent. It sure does bead up the water but whether it is the NXT doing this or the Zaino is questionable. I have never seen any store bought wax that could bead water like Zaino so I highly doubt what I seen in action tonight was NXT but I guess it is a possibility. As far as the depth of the color looks it still appearss like the Zaino is very much there and if it is not and it is the NXT doing that then NXT is very good stuff for $15 IMO. I Personally think the NXT may have removed a little of the Zaino but I had about 5-6 layers on it anyways, but I do feel like some was removed because it still beads up water very well but not quite as much as Zaino does when used alone, if that makes sense.

I will be using NXT on my woman's car over the weekend by itself just to see how it does so this way I can compare and see if the Zaino is worth all of that extra effort of layering. Thanks for the opinions and help guys. Later.

It's a personal choice to layer Zaino, not a requirement. It only takes 1 coat.
