Z5/Z2Pro and then Z2 2 weeks later.

A couple of weeks ago i did this:



1. Clayed using Meguiars Magic Clay

2. Meguiars DACP suing an orange LC pad on my PC at a speed of approx. 5

3. 2 coats of Zaino Z5 (with ZFX)

4. 4 coats of Zaino ZPro2 (with ZFX)

5. Z6 in between all coats



I don't have pics from that session, but the car looked nice, but didn't have the look that i really liked last year when i was using the Z5 and the old Z2 combo.



Someone suggested that i should try applying a few coats of the old Z2 over my Z5/Z2Pro combo to see what would happen.



I just finished applying 2 coats of the old Z2 using ZFX and can say that i'm happy with the look of my car again.

I find that the old Z2 looks deeper and more glossy on my silver paint. It also make my silver look darker or at least to my eyes it does.



I'm anxious to see my car tomorrow as i find that the old Z2 always looks better after a day or so of curing.



I have a bottle of Z8 that is on its way. I should get it before the weekend. I can't wait to see what that does.

From my testing Z8 will give you that Z2-PRO edge (wetness and depth) without muting the Z2. You might try this first. This will really decrease the amount of time needed to test the Z2-PRO over Z2.



On my Escalade (white), I always finish the hood and top with Z2PRO and Z8. On the sides, bumper fascias and rear (cargo doors), I finish with Z2 and Z8. I like the higher reflectivity on Z2 on these areas and the deep wet pool of white paint on the horizonal surfaces. :xyxthumbs



And some people thought their Z2 would go to waste. ;)
 
Uh Oh ! I just checked on my local Zaino guy's webpage. He doesn't adevertise Z2 anymore just Z2Pro. Anyone if Z2 is still available ? or has it been discontinued ? aaaahhhhh i need some more Z2...

From the looks of you car, you have a lot to brag about ;)



I hope the Z8 does it for you... I am always amazed at how much our eyes and tastes vary from on person to the next. I alway see an improvement with each incremental improvement in the Zaino product line. From what I see of your car, even a lot of difference will still not be so readily evident on such a great looking finish !:xyxthumbs

I just checked on the delivery tracking details for my Z8...its one stop away from (at a trie centre) being in my city.



That means that it might be here tomorrow or Thursday at the latest...can't wait to try it.

The sun is blazing and the skies are a clear blue up here today. So i thought i'd hit it with a nice Z6 wipedown and take a few more pics.

Bob, what kind of Z2 do you have. I may have some Z2 left over somewhere in my box of unused stuff. I know there were like 3 formulations of Z-2 when I started using Zaino and like 2 of Z5.



But calling Sal to see if any old stock is left over is always a start.

I just did a full detail using the old Z2, and it turned out great!

I am looking forward to getting Z2 PRO, but am waiting for the new AIO-type polish to be released(that way I'll save on shippping;) ).



I have tried many products and combos but I always come back to Zaino!
