Z5 on my Jetta

ACE

What's that smell?
A couple of shots of 3 coats of Zaino Z5 on the side panels of my Jetta. I think it looks pretty good.

I usually keep the wheels protected with Klasse, but I intend to redo the wheels next week so I cleaned them prior to the pic with Eagle One wheel cleaner. So I guess you could say the wheels have nothing on them right now. The tires have Lexol Vinylex on them prior to the final wipedown. They're a bit glossier than I like them in the shot, but they still look good.

Does Klasse ALL-IN -ONE, UPP and P21S or SOUVERAN make a car look better than that? If so, I can hardly wait to place my order. Ace ! your jetta looks great ! Excellent job ! Should I add Zaino's to my list of must haves? I will be doing everything by hand ?

I really don't think I could have gotten those results by hand. The key to a great finish is not the final wax or sealant, but the prep work to get the finish as flawless as possible before application of the final product. I have gotten fantastic results with UPP and EX and I think they're great products. I strongly advise buying a PC if you really want to get professional looking results. I did the rear deck by hand, but I used Griots Hand Polish and Best of Show wax, which contain fillers to hide the flaws. I think if you're going to work by hand, you almost have to use filler products to hide minor flaws.

I will eventually get a PC. First I'll buy quality detailing supplies then I'll move on to a PC. Thanks for the info ACE.

Nice work, Galactic Blue Pearl always looks great when detailed. Did you use the new or old formula zaino? Also, what was your prep process?

I have been negecting mine, but will be applying more SG and UPP soon.

Eric - I used the new Z5 with ZFX. My prep was wash, clay and one pass with Poorboys SSR1 and a Griots orange pad. I would have liked to wash again, but I only have a few hours of proper shade and I was losing the light. I think I hit it with Z6 after the SSR1 and before the first coat of Z5 just to make sure the surface was Zainofied.

Your car looks awesome, i'm speechless.........it s just the look i want to have on mine...........i have the new Z on the shelf, Z2, ZFX, Z6 but havent tried em yet though................is z5 the wsame as Z2, only with fillers added ?

:bigups

Thanks for the compliments, Chip. I've never tried Z2, but it's supposed to be their premier product, so i'm sure it will produce great results. If your surface prep is good, you're going to get killer results. I just used Z5 because I figure any help filling flaws is a good thing.
