z2pro w/o zfx

I just tried a sample of z2 pro from an autopian (detailbarn, thanks again):) . I prepped with AIO and then applied Z2 pro(no Z1 or ZFX). I let it dry for about 30 mins. Removed it with no problems. My initial assesment is good nice shine good amount of slickness comparable to FMJ. My question is will my results improve with ZFX. Will it be more slick.:)
 
you can do multiple coats with the ZFX, otherwise for a single coat, its not needed with the improvements made to the Z2(pro) It dries to the buffing point really fast. ( I asked a similar question before) I am told that the Z2pro does not (fully) cure for a long time even though it appears to have set/cured and that for bonding between coats the accellerant is still required.
 
I believe you need at least Z1 for proper bonding. That said I have read many accounts of people just using Z2 by itself with no real ill effects.



If you want slickness try the Z6 -- makes the surface super slick
 
jch217 ,glad to help out with the samples. FYI the sample I sent you was not Z2-Pro it was the previous Z2. As for ZFX personally I think it improves the slickness as well as the durability. colche is correct Z6 makes the surface even slicker than Z2 by itself.
