Z-CS question

Tonight, I applied Z-CS to a never-used applicator. I wanted to test in on the inside of my carbon fiber trunk and the door jambs - not a whole lot of surface area, given the trunk's skeletal construction. I used a brand new - washed, of course - Sonus pad, squeezing two short trigger pulls onto its surface. The applicator pad felt dry to the touch.

My questions:

1. Is it (the applicator) supposed to feel relatively dry? Not bone dry, mind you, but not moist.

2. If not, any suggestions as to its use?

do not saturate the pad a little spreads a long way, if u use too much it will smear.

it gets slicker with time so dont judge the finish till after a few hours

The applicators never really feel wet with ZCS. It never gets sopping wet. I don't think the fabric on the applicator actually absords much. It just kind of sits on top and then releases it when your working it in. I noticed that the dry feeling is even more noticeable when I've applied ZCS with a Megs yellow foam applicator (which are impossible to find now)
