Z-8 vs. Z-CS

If you only want to get one, I would also go with the Z8. If you have both, I would apply an occasional coat of Z-CS, and follow it up with Z8.

I had wondered if all the hype on Z8 was just that...hype. I had finally bought some...it's not hype. The slickness is just ridiculous. Hell I even spray it on myself after I shower! Ok that last part wasn't true, sorry. So yes Z8! Z8! Z8!

so how's this lineup for a silver car??

wash

clay

polish (sip, 106ff, etc whatever needed)

Z-PC

Z-6 (or re-wash depending on condition)

Z2 pro zfx'd x3

z6 in between each coat

z-8

by doing Z6 wipedown, you're making sure the paint surface is clean. Z6 is concentrated, so if you have problem using it, dilute it 50:50.

But if you are using ZFX'ed Z2, you are putting in on w/o any time lapsed from the last coat, what could have gotten on the paint that wouldn't get on it immediatley after finishing the Z6 wipe down?

true if you're not taking any break (or minimum) between layers. Z6 wipedown also helps buffing off remaining spots you missed.

So it won't hurt either way.

z2 can seal in the shine from each z6 coat, so why not just do it? it's even coverage- end of argument lol but back to pronunciation... zay-no ? zie-no ?

Don't you mean z6 can seal in the shine from each z2 coat? If not, how can you have coats of Z6, its a QD?

I like Z-8 for the "looks".

I like Z-CS for that fast extra protection.

Z-8 gives much better depth in looks, while Z-CS sharpens the looks.

Always Z-8 after Z-CS, but wait a few hours or the next day for Z-8!!

Very well put. I love and use both each week.
