I had quoted this job a while back but our schedules never lined up. Finally he was able to leave the truck for it`s make over. Outside in the sun the normal swirls etc were present. What I couldn`t see was the horrible DA marks all over the passenger side from a repaint.
This turned into a bigger job than anticipated but I was able to knock it out by buckling down and having at it.
Wheels/tires- Mckees foaming wheel cleaner gel, LATA, hyper dressing and Mckees Gloss Tire Gel
Paint Wash- IGL ecoclean wash, Mckees extreme Iron remover, nanoskin medium grade prep sponge
Here`s where having a rotary polisher and knowing how to use it comes in handy.
Initial Cut- Makita rotary, LC purple foamed wool pad, Fast correcting cream. After making my cutting passes I left the fast correcting cream residue on the paint for the next follow up step. This allow me to save some time and get the paint refined down for polishing.
2nd pass- BOSS G21, BOSS microfiber cutting pad, fast correcting cream.
3rd pass- BOSS G21, Rupes yellow pad, m205. I could of stopped here but there was still a little bit of hazing that I just couldn`t leave.
4th pass- BOSS G21, black LC pro thin pad, m205
LSP- Mckees high def paint sealant
Thanks to some time saving tricks I was able to knock this out relatively quick with a great result.
Here`s a before video showing true condition under the lights.
