Yukon Winter Prep

It had been far too long since this thing was cared for. It should be good to go through the winter. There's a little surprise at the bottom, too.

My process was:

Zaino leather cleaner and conditioner

NXT wash

AIO w/ polishing pad

Zaino Z2 x 2

Zaino Z16 on tires and trim.

Just a little dirty

Surprise!

Those are some nice shined up GM vehicles. I like. I have a plastic step like the Yukon. When I first got it I made the mistake of using NXT Tech Protectant on the step. It made it slicker than snot on a doorknob. Now I only use PDMS type products on it.

Nice vette...that's an 05 no?

The new ones are almost perfect. Many comparisons in the mags have them besting the new Porsche 997. GM needs to spend just a few more dollars on the interior and then they have something.

Excellent! The Yukon is glowing!

BTW, I noticed you used AIO and Z2 x 2. Sounds like something I am planning...and taking heat for. Glad to see I am not the only one. ;)

Thank you all very much for the compliments :) The Yukon was a bear, but came out very nicely.

Scott - I have 100% confidence that this combination will perform flawlessly.

How did I know the Vette would take the spotlight? :D

It is an '05 Machine Silver Z51 six speed. Anyone who went to SEMA might have seen it in the HRE booth. Sadly, it's not mine. It's a close friend's.

Silver Lexus - Have you had the chance to get inside a C6? They are much nicer than previous models. Very comfortable and modern. They are not Mercedes, but they are not meant to be.

Both look nice, but the "silver sports coupe" grabbed me before realizing it was a C6. Silver is a difficult color to beat on coupes.

Looks SWEET Zane!! :xyxthumbs

A quick Zaino noob question for ya...

If you are just going to apply one layer of Z-2 on top of paint that has already been treated with Zaino do you need ZFX? If not how long do you let it dry?

ZFX is recommend twice a year for daily drivers (and every time if you are going to apply multiple coats at once).

If you are just doing one coat and already have Zaino on the car, you can just apply Z5 or Z2. The drying time increases slightly but nothing major. It mostly depends on the weather.

Nice work Zane! I really like the way the Yukon looks. I also recognize the hospital parking lot. I used to work there.

You worked at St. Marys...which is now part of the Convenant system?

Yes I did. I worked there while I was attending Tech. Great group of people especially the Sisters of St. Joseph.
