Your Thoughts: Best Spray Wax for looks + durability?

Nobody mentioned Sonax High Speed Wax?? Really? OK, let me bring you up to speed on this: wife bought 2015 Highlander - silver color, I washed and nano (clay replacement) it, then Menz PL, a couple weeks later, Souveran, then we had a month of crappy weather with salt brine on the roads, snow, ice etc. OK, washed with DG and dried it, 24 hours later I went over it with the Sonax. It was easy to apply and remove (and I'm the worst when it comes to new stuff) so if I can do it....anyway, the shine and slickness after a couple hours was fantastic!

Was there a reason for the 24 hr wait time? Or just convenient for you?

TroyScherer- maybe it's because I'm using it on silver, but I didn' really notice the OCW having a "really carnauba"-type look to it. It's probably just a bit too, uhm..."bright and sealanty" to use on my Jag, for instance. But !oh man! is that kind of talk just splitting (subjective) hairs!

Zelfiris- When the OCW streaked for you, was it on bare paint or over top of something? So far it's been utterly Accumulator-proof for me.

Hey Accumulator,

Hmmm, the streaking may have been because of reload. I applied a coat of reload 5 months prior (for the winter months) and my first wash was topped with OCW. I figured the layer of reload would have been gone by then but maybe it lasted longer than I expected. Now that I think about it, BSD on top of reload was no problem

For a spray wax, I like OCW For a wipe on walk away sealant (which i use more than anything) Blackfire Crystal Seal

Zelfiris- Ah, maybe the Reload *was* the problem...OCW plays nice with the waxes I use on the A8 but I guess you never know until you try.

TroyScherer- It can be funny how paints that *seem* like they'd look best with a wax actually look fine with a sealant. My Jag, OTOH, is a weird case- single stage metallic gray called "Rhodium Metallic" (not really much of a "silver") and after all these years I have some, uhm.....strong opinions...about just how it should look. That's one car I will *not* be using FK1000P on :D

This thread has me wondering what I'll think of the Meguiar's UQW...

I should have mentioned I had got up early Saturday, waited for the temps to get above 32 degrees so I could detail a Honda Pilot. I took it back and got in a long conversion with the appreciative owner and had to rush back and wash the wife's Highlander and then just enough time to shower, dress and meet friends for dinner. It was Sunday before I had the chance to wax it. So, that was why, noting to do with the wax.

I had decided to switch over to Prima as my current supplies run out, but dang it all, this Sonax stuff has got me super interested in buying more, a feeling I had thought had gone bye bye.

I've got to chime in in the Prima. I thought it was great stuff. I bought the Maxx when it came out and I wasn't impressed with it at all. I could clearly see a big difference from the time I applied. Which I thought was a pain in the a$$. Next time around I'd just by the Hydro. But Aqua Wax is a winner. Hard to beat the price. If you go to your local Car Quest they are taking them off the shelves and discounting it. I picked up 5 bottles for $4 a piece. You can't beat that.
