Your favorite tools for removing snow and ice from vehicles.

I've got two favorites. I park in the garage at night, but that doesn't keep the snow off my car when it is out in the parking lot at work all day. I did a video review for the Autogeek forum a couple years ago. I was in an office with covered parking last year, but this year I expect I'll be able to review the ice scraper better. No covered parking here. :(

Snow Mover

Ice Master

Hey its not my fault you easteners arent smart enough to move out west!:D

I drove from Texas for a short term stay............over 20years ago. A daughter came out of no where. How does that happen?:) So I don't think a return is in the cards now. No regret though. Just miss family. I have a great new wife (15yr 4 yr married) good clients, and fun vehicles to play with non the less.
Snow is just part of Ohio.
The gas and electric companies should appreciate me staying the winters a little more:(

Since when does it snow in Florida?:D

:lol2:

It snows almost every year.

  • December 28, 2010: Light snow was reported at Tampa Executive at 1AM and 5AM local time, following a rare freezing fog event around midnight. [26]
2010, and December in particular, may also have set a record for number of snow events in Florida.

  • January 9, 2011: Sleet is reported in the Pensacola area, as well as other places in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. There was no accumulation.[27]

Snow

For snow I use my arm and hand. My jacket sleeve and glove covered hand provide decent protection so that the finish won't become scratched or damaged.

Ice

I scrape the ice off my glass with a traditional scraper.

We have ice but rarely have snow. To remove ice I like to use remote start... Best invention ever. In 100 degree weather I can get into a cool truck and in the 30 winters we have it's nice and warm

I ordered a sno-brum but, i think i have an idea on how to make it better. I'll give an update when i receive it and execute my plan. Plus i also ordered a Icedozer mini ice scraper.

The Ice Master really is where it is at. I have become quite the ice scraper aficionado since living in the freezing north and I haven't found anything better. The Snow Mover is also quite a bit better than the Sno Brum, but it just depends on how much snow you plan on letting your car get burried in. If you have worked nights like me where the snow piles up for 8 hours without the (relative) warmth of day to melt some of it off, it is a life saver. It also fits in your car easier than the Sno Brum. OXO makes a really nice extendable brush/scraper too, but I always worry that those bristles are going to scratch the paint. I guess it doesn't really matter too much since the first thing I do in the spring is a full polish on the car anyway. It is going to get scratched up regardless of what tool I use to get the snow off.
