Your favorite sealant under Souveran?

I'm not really sure what CG's Wet Mirror Finish is but I used it under Souveran my light silver metallic car and really liked the look.

i am pretty sure he uses red machine glaze by clearkote

Or my Pink Moose mix (50/50 VM + RMG).

Honestly though, I am using Carnauba Moose a lot more than Souveran. Not quite as "liquidy" but darkens the paint a touch more, looks deeper and lasts longer.

actually i wax probly 1 to 2 times a month so i dont know about durability but i see a diff in beading within a few rain showers and my vehicles are garaged.

megs 16 was pretty durable

Actually, I only use Souveran over glazes. Looks better that way and my customers who like Souveran aren't the type to wait 6 months before waxing again.

If I was going to use it over a sealant, I'd use Opti-Seal or Acrylic Jett.
What glazes Scott?

Where is this deal, it says it is 20 bucks off but not buy one get one free.

It seems that you missed it.

$59.99 is still a decent price though plus you get 20% off ($47.99 + shipping)

What kind of ******** the sale is listed until sunday, posted by them... Not only that it was still buy one get one free this morning.. They just took it off and they are not sold out.

Buy One Get One Free --- Pinnacle Souveran Paste - Corvette Forum

The ******** says alot, without saying anything. I was only trying to pass information along. The only suggestion that I can make is to contact them with your frustrations and maybe they will take your point into consideration and give you a deal.

I wasn't directing it towards you saying your information was false but their information is false.

Curious does anyone have a better source that says how long the buy one get one free sale was supposed to last? Even though this is from them as a sponsor I would like another source so when I call they can't just say it was posted on a forum so it doesn't count.

I know he uses his RMG and Pink Moose combo with Moose Wax but I wasn't sure with Souveran. It appears it is his favorite to use on just about any carnauba.

Would black paint be the exception to when you would use Souveran?

Also, do you not like to top a sealant with Souveran (or any other carnauba for that matter)?

I have not tried this myself, but one gentleman suggested using Souvergn as a base coat, after a cleaner/wax and then topping off with OS. According to him he said that it gave great protection and it "locked" the look in. I tought that there would be bonding issues, but according to him there were none.

Hi!

The basics are true, OS is an amazing product!! Come winter there isnt really any need to change from your normal beauty waxes b/c OS acutally provides about 3 months durability over PS and #21. I used #21 purely as a test this summer in Idaho. As far as over #21 the only conclusion i can offer you is that beading after 10 weeks was small and tight.

Back here in London my PS with OS is still there after 8 weeks so that has to say something!! Squeek test, PASSED. Beading test (if there is one) still beading PASSED!

Im not sure on the dynamics of OS, but if you see Dave KG has made a few posts, i think on here but certantly on detailing world where he has used OS over Nuba.

OS doesnt change looks, it just provides protection. My advice, 1x PS, wait about 10 mins then 1x PS. Depending on the weather i give PS a cooling off period of about 30 mins, then staight over the car with OS! You can top up OS as and when you feel like you need to, personally i would go every 8-10 weeks or when you see a reduction in protection. No hazing or murkyness has transpired.

BTW, i tried PS spray wax, wow that smells like carmel!! I put it over my Zymol Destiny (1st applied mid September) and it really looks awesome. Spray, no hazing, buff over the car with a plush MF and your done. Looks excellent, deep and wet. Cant say about durability. Of course, i could have OS destiny but it gives about 3 months of quality looks and protections, just in time for winter prep, of if PS SW is any good that will get them through to March!!

As far as glazing before PS, im an RMG man if i have machine polished first, if not then its a pink moose.

Geoff
