So far:

bf src compound
wolfgang uber compound

and bf src polish
menzerna final finish and intensive polish
sonax perfect finish and its da counter part

have a few others that are good but it just depends on the job

As Civicclutch stated, it depends on the job and such factors as:
1) Rotary versus long-throw dual-action polishing machine
2) Temperature and humidity (don`t laugh, they come into play)
3) Single-stage paint versus clear-coated paint (if you are buffing and the paint pigment transfers to the pad, you have single stage, like the paint on cars made before 1985)
4) Soft clear-coat versus hard ceramiclear
5) Pad type: wool versus microfiber versus closed-cell foam

I think this is one reason why professional detailers and serious hobbyist have more than one manufacturer`s line of compounds and polishes.

There is also the body shop or car dealership personnel who may be stuck with one or two choices because that`s what the owner or department head buy`s in bulk or gets a discount on from a supplier. Here are some manufacturers:
3M Perfect-It and Finesse-It (Doesn`t Megs OWN 3M automotive division??)
Malco/Presta Chromatic (works great with rotaries)
Value Gard
AutoMagic

There are probably a host of custom-label manufacturers as well. Kit Car Wax/Formula 1, for example is made by Northern Labs, Inc in Manitowoc, WI.

HD Cut(+) is my go to. After spending a lot of time with this product on multiple cars with multiple pads, I have learned how to make it work for just about any situation. Not all but most for my detailing. I have used it to cut Audi paint to a 1 step on a Honda Pilot that was LSP ready.

The more I use M101 the less I reach for anything else. Do still have M105 (both versions), HD Cut (awfully mild), and Hi-Temp Fast Cut/"357". Only use the Fast Cut to restore badly trashed/oxidized rubber seals/trim though.

Second vote for M101.

OP:

It dusts a lot less than M105, it is light years more easy to use (I think of it as a more aggressive M205 which is the industry standard) than M105/M4/UC, it has a long working time, and it can finish well. M101 is great, the proof is in the pudding because it is another industry standard. It`s so reliable.

If i have to compound I like rupes blue/blue

Bf src v2 compound is nice too

Recently tried master cut and loved it too

Heavy cut
I have a bottle of M105 left on the shelf. It has been collecting dust ever since I tried Megs M101.
M105 cuts fine with wool & rotary. M105 (although it does cut great) is a PITA to work with on a DA.
M105 flashes quickly, and if you really want to hate life, mist some dry M105 with water then polish.
Yes, it`ll bring the M105 back to life and extend your work time, but you`ll be cleaning sling for days.

PROS:
For a long throw polisher it is hands down M101 with a microfiber disc...and M101 finishes nice too!

CONS:
M101 is more $, but if it does the job better & faster, IMO that makes it less expensive. Time is money.
M101 is a LOT less dust compared to M105. * I add a drop or two of UC or D300 to M101 on the pad.
SIDE NOTE: Adding that extra drop or two to the pad virtually eliminates any dusting when I use M101.

If I could only have two products they would be Megs M101 and Carpro Essence
