Your choice of wax for a one step on an Rv!

CarPro HydrO2. Its expensive but the time you'll save is worth it. Ill never hand wax one of those monsters again after using it. Ever

I never have worked on an RV, but my idea would be to use something that applies easy, removes easy, and lasts a kind time. From what I own personally, that would be WGDGPS, BFWD, or PowerLock.

I have Permanon as well, but the durability just isn't there IME.

Permanon is 4-6 weeks and most waxes Peter out by then as well.

I don't do RV's due to the size and amount of work. If you are looking to seal it CarPro Hydro2 is one of the only product I would consider. The other is Permanon, and for an RV I would go with "Yacht".

If you are truly going for a 1-step polish then I would suggest either Meguiars D-155 Paint Reconditioning Cream or Marine 31 Gel Coat Heavy-Cut Cleaner Wax.

Hard to say.. the customer may want a wash and wax but what if the paint/gelcoat is in really bad shape? Then they will not be happy with your wash and wax, no matter what...

Sometimes you have to tailor your wax to the needs of the customer.

If it is gelcoat and needs some "cleaning" : Marine 31 Heavy Cut Cleaner Wax
If it is gelcoat and needs little or no cleaing: Marine 31 All-In-One Gel Coat Polish & Wax

If it is paint and needs some cleaning: Meguiars D151
If it is paint and in good shape: BLACKFIRE Crystal Seal.

Most people I've hit that want their RVs waxed is because they are oxidized, there are very few people that keep it well maintained and just need protection on it. I'm guessing you probably low balled them and gave them a good deal, that's ok. 3Ms Cleaner Wax will polish and wax at the same time. It's marine wax made for gel coat boats, the same exact thing RVs are made from. If it's really badly oxidized they also have a Restorer + Wax which I think is compound and wax, this is also good but won't give you as nice of a finish as the cleaner + wax. I would buy both waxes then go check out the RV and do a test area with both and see which one will give you a better shine. BTW I hope you have a rotary buffer to wax with, because if not it will be total hell trying to wax it and then having to explain to them why their RV looks like crap. Good luck

Have you tried Marine 31 Heavy-Cut Cleaner Wax?

Here is a pic of the beast. Haven't worked on it yet.

that's what i was thinking but i know zaino can be a sore subject on some forums

That may be on some forums, but IMHO Zaino AIO covers a lot of ground really fast and reliably. That's why I use it on my truck - AKA the White Whale<g>!

<TED>:)
