Your actual MPG

My average mileage with the S2000 is about 18-20, almost all in-town driving and not easy on the gas, either... The first couple of tanks with the WRX (taking it easy, even!) I wasn't getting any better... more like 16-18mpg (again, mostly city)... The best I've seen in the S is about 24-25...



But I've been taking it EXTRA easy in the WRX and should get around 24 this tank... damned turbo! :D
 
I get around 42 mpg in my car, which as the same 150 bhp as the vw golf 1.9 liter diesel turbo engine. It's max speed is around 135 mph (declared, but i once went to 140 mph) but i get almost 600 miles from a 55 liter tank of gas (14,5 gallons).

Town 20mpg, Motorway 24mpg.



Audi 80 1.8 Carb 154,000 miles on 95 octane fuel.

Town 35mpg, motorway 42mpg.



UK gallons = 4.52 litres.
