Your actual MPG

mixed driving 40-43mpg in 03 toyota echo driving pretty easy

mixed with 05 scion tc 24mpg fairly easy driving

01 suzuki hayabusa around 30 not so easy riding

Getting 20-21 mpg in the Mustang (GT with 4.6L V8) with a mix of city/highway. My daily commute is ~60 miles round trip and I generally have to fill up every 5 days as the tank only has about 13 usable gallons.

EPA rating 19/28. I average 22 in the city and close to 30 on the highway. My best was close to 35 with all highway, 55-60mph with cruise on. 5spd manual + 3.0L V6 DOHC 24V

Acura claims 19/29. I get 18-20 mpg with 80% city/20% hwy. Best I've gotten to date was 27 all hwy drive. Worst was probably 16. I think that's when I was testing the intake.

I average around 23mpg (2.2) during the week, UK motorway (freeway) and town driving.

Thats the trouble with high revving Honda engines I guess, 70-75mph in 5th gear = over 4k revs...........I so want a 6th gear :bigups

Do you guys from the UK use miles now? I've been watching Top Gear and Fifth Gear for a while now, and they seem to have converted to the mile system. Weren't you guys using Kmph for a while?

2002 Audi A4 3.0 V-6 w/ 220hp and CVT transmission.

26 mpg as an average of city/hwy. Pure highway trip with cruise @ 70 mph ~ 31 mpg.

As far as I am aware, the UK have always used imperial units (mph) for measuring speed, it's what we are all so familiar with.

Changing over to kph would cause massive confusion with much of the population

The Aurora gets about 20mpg around town. On trips it gets about 25-26mpg. If I drove closer to 60-65mph on trips I feel it would get about 27-28+ or so without too much problem.

The 'vette got 26.7mpg on the trip home with it, which was about 190 miles. Since then, it's getting about 16 mpg. Mostly because when I take it out, it's on low-speed local streets until the engine warms up. And once the engine warms up, it's not really being driven for mileage... :woot:

Heheh, I'm pretty sure the English are the other folks that use the english system... ;)

I get 10 city and 16 highway for my 2000 Dodge Quad Cab truck with a 360cid.

My wife gets 27 city and 36 highway in her 97 Camry 4 banger. The Dodge has an addication for gas.

Rev's don't really affect the mpg, just throttle position mainly. I know guys with itr tranny's and swapped final drives at over 5k on the freeway, mpg is still ok though. My old si used to be at 4k plus on the freeway and i'd still pull 30 mpg, same with the gs-r.

I guess I just have a too heavy a right foot in getting up to 70mph in the first place. Damn you addictive VTEC :p

Forgot to mention, my MPG increases quite nicely when using super unleaded (98 octane) rather than standard 95 ron octane rating. Thing is, in UK the premium fuel is so expensive :down
