You won't believe what I got today . . .

I wish . . .
On my way home today, on a whim, I stopped by a local auto wrecker & asked if they might have a hood I could purchase for practice. I think the guy is still laughing & scratching his head, but he called back to the yard, and another fellow came up and asked me what I wanted it for, so I went through the whole expanation for him (new buffer, want to practice on something other than my new car, etc.). He went off and came back a few minutes later with a beautiful hood which he then carefully loaded in the back of my V, and it's now waiting in the side yard for our practice sessions with PC & products.
Apparently my request was entertaining enough, because they even refused to take any money for the hood!
It's going to be a great weekend!!!

I think PAC should sell car hood as well :lmfao , hmm I wanna get one on to test durability of sealant/waxes etc :-p

Chee,
I agree, they should at least sell 16 x 16 panels or something (just thinking of the shipping logistics of a full hood)

PS - Where'd the Pink Panther go? Was Fuzz busy again?

You'll discover at once that there is really no need for practice with a PC. They are truly beginner-proof. You just spread a little product on the pad or on the surface, spread it around so it doesn't splatter, turn on the PC and go. You can't do harm with the PC but you'll be able to use a polish pad and SSR 2.5 or 3 and polish out some pretty bad scratches.

Now's the time to get a rotary, make a scratch or two and try getting them out with the rotary. There are inexpensive rotary's available but make sure it has a variable speed control.

I MUST RESIST!!!

I find myself being drawn further into the dark side - But I MUST RESIST!!

I just can't justify the rotary right now, as the only two cars I have to work on are not in that bad a shape. But maybe someday . . . .
