You know you like detailing too much when...

...when you walk around the house looking for things to detail. Like your washer and dryer, your kids bikes and anything that has metal.

...when you let your wife use your truck (that you'd never let her drive) because you're practicing on her car.

Keep it going!

i remember a couple posts like this(:

..When you spend time washing parts of your car that no other person would ever have a chance to see i.e. under your bumper, sideskirts etc. just because you know you couldn't rest knowing they were dirty.

..When it rains the day after you washed and you're actually happy you get to wash it again and see if your NXT is doing it's job

..You detail your friends darker colored cars because yours is white(not that you can't make white beautiful!)

-When you remove the rear axle to paint it..

-When you lay under your vehicle with old MF's and detail ithe underbody...

If your lawnmower has a swirl free sealant protected finish, your garage has more bottles of products than the target auto section, and you have more pads than the feminine aisle in Walgreens, YOU MIGHT JUST BE A DETAILER!! ;)

I have detailed the stove, washer and dryer, a plastic garbage can we keep dog food in the garage, the treadmill, every light fixture in the house, all three of our cars, door handles, my daughter's friends car and I was also looking at the water heater and furnace that are in MY garage........... O.K.

So I will sign up for D.A........Detailers Anonymous

Can someone help me?

I sometimes randomly wake up at 2 A.M. or so and check the cars in the garage to make sure they are clean!

But it is a nice feeling to know that your cars look the best in the neighborhood!

...when you wonder what pad and at what RPM it would take to polish your tub.

...when you look at the swirls in the stainless steel trash can and seriously consider grabbing your metal polish.

When you polish your kitchen sink faucet...(I just did after reading this thread oh dear)

Your cars look great, your lawn is dead(this is true here lol)

You can talk for an hour about detailing cars and no one knows what the heck you are talking about.

You notice swirls in anything..

It truly is an addiction.

Thanks to the Trading Post, bottles of product now grace my mantle which was previously lined with bottles of top shelf booze.

I have been detailing my extensive collection of 1/18 scale cars and old 1/25 promos...help, I can't stop.

.............I went to the body shop when my bed was off my truck to detail the topside of my frame between the frame and bed.

.............I spent 3 hrs under my truck waxing the frame rails and such.

.............All the tractors on the farm have Meg's All-Season Dressing on the tires and #105 on the paint.

I actually do polish my tub!

I wanted to do that as well, but unfortunately my PC is in Canada (i moved to the UK).... any hand products that would suffice? Also, I want to polish the drain and shower controls as they are very swirled... how would i go about this without a machine?

I was thinking Flitz, but i dont know if that actually removes scratches from metal?

I've been using SS Nathans Cleaner Polish (older Big Lots score) on my new glass table top. It works great -- makes daily cleaning much easier.

Now that must take a lot of dressing!

I've been known to use Never-Dull on metal fixtures around the house...

.....you're just never satisfied with a car that everybody else will tell you looks "amazing"

.....you start to apply a polish, sealant, and wax to your bald patch - but hey, who has the shiniest head in the office ?!?

... when you think about buying Duragloss products at Carquest during your California vacation because there are no Carquest's in New York (no joke, going to Cali in the summer :))

...when you feel sad when you see your car parked under the trees when it's raining, and your water beading is dying.

Boy that's sick. I just don't have the time, though the kids' tub could use a PC polish if not the rotary. I do QD our tub daily though, and give it a coat of AJT every few months.

Collinite 845 looks killer on my solid maple dining room table. Better than the ACJ did. I guess I'm sick too!

When your 175k mile beater is rock chipped and door dinged to hell, but its swirl free and looks better than most cars half its age/miles.
