Lol wow... they must have had a big house with very good ventilation, because dead bodies smell really bad from what I know. lol. You would think something is up if he lives with you and you dont see him move for a couple days... at the most.
 
I highly dought that the daughters lived with him...I would say the old man lived alone, and died alone, with a not very close relationship to his family...but thats me.

Thats gotta be the scenerio. Theres no way they could have lived together and not have known.
