But the cops around here seem to shoot radar/laser as much during the night as they do during the day. Often they're driving though, and using instant-on rather than sitting in a fixed location. My assumption is that there isn't enough traffic passing a given area to warrant sitting there for a long time.



IMO, it makes more sense to monitor speeders at night, because the mission is supposed to be "to serve and protect", and it's more dangerous to speed at night fo sho yo. :werd:

there was a national speed limit after the oil shortages in the 70s. that was removed in the mid-90s. so cueerntly, no national speed limt - in CA it's 70 in the highways, in AZ it's 75, in montana is was as fast as you want for a while

In Seattle, the max highway speed was 60mph, and then we moved here to Michigan and it is 70mph.

It felt Sooooo much faster here(for awhile)...

You know I just posted a response to a thread that was remarkably like this (yet serious) in another forum. There was a study awhile ago that said something like "if the first and last letter of a word are correctly placed the human brain will recognize the word", so people could theoretically type "lkie tihs" and we would get it, or something. Well that might be true, but it doesn't mean we should do it.
