yellow stained carpet- from cheap rubber mats... ???

I've encountered this several times with used cars.... previous owners had cheap rubber floor mats (tan, black, doesn't matter) and I dunno if it's heat or something, but it stains the floor mats or carpet underneigth YELLOW. I've gone over it with every chemical I can think of, pressure washed the carpet floor mats, used the extractor on the carpet... but it seems to be stained permanently. Is it possible to clean, or is dye the only answer?

Hmmm....someone gave me some winter mats (with black rubber backing) that I put on top of my carpet mats and when I removed them in the spring the silvery carpet of my regular mats seemed yellowed...but I thought it was my imagination.

This is not repairable.

It is an off gassing of the byutl (sp) rubber mats. Because it is a gas it is able to permiate the fibers, get in the dye sites and some times the inner dye sites of solution dyed fiber. Combine it with soil, moisture trapped by the rubber mats. and you get this yellow/greening.

I've tried oxidizers, red relief, stain magic, coffee rx, even muratic acid at one time, I've tried rust gels, tanin remover, it plain and simple is permant other than patching or replacing.
