Yellow Lamborghini Gallardo by Knox Details

Autopia fire/rescue.
I haven't been visiting Autopia as often as I like..I've been studying for the upcoming Deputy Chief's exam. After spending Friday morning and afternoon in the books and turning my brain into mush, I felt that I needed a break. I try to get a few hours of studying in at the firehouse when I work my night tours, but Friday night I said the hell with it!

I brought my F-150 into the station, vacuumed the dog hair out the interior ( I had to take the dogs to the <strong class='bbc'>"doggy detailer"[/b] Friday morning!) washed it, clayed it and applied 2 fresh coats of Carnauba wax to it... it looked <strong class='bbc'><span style='color: red'>Fantastic!!![/b]

Tonight, it's the Jeep's turn! ;)

Cleaning is good for you, works the heart, lungs and the rest of the body and allows the mind to focus on one small thing at a time.....and a car does not ask questions about your childhood ;)

Don't forget that its a lot cheaper as well. I know we sometimes discuss this therapeutic experience that we get by detailing, but it is most certainly true. Sometimes I just look so much forward to waxing. I sometimes wax at 2 or 3 in the morning as I'm working at my part time job. There's a garage there so I definitely take advantage of that. Laters

Oh man, detailing is therapy!

Think about it. Like Don said, you can do it at 3:00 in the morning, or at the Firehouse. You don't need an appointment. Your vehicle will NEVER ask to hear her side of the story. And you can have a toddy while your detailing, with the Daytona 500 on the TV!

And you don't have to make a crummy appointment in the middle of your work day, that costs you 1/2 a days pay. Just bring your wax or QD to work, and do it on you lunch period. Arobics and diet at the same time.

Man, detailing is the ONLY Therapy!!!! Enjoy!!

Hello everyone! I recently spent some time with this Gallardo when it was in the shop having the clutch replaced. I was not able to find any pictures from before I washed it or while I was claying the car but anyway here we go?

I took the opportunity to clean, clay, and wax the wheels while the car was on the lift.

I used buckets with Grit Guards, Dawn, and Meguiars APC and Auto Wash when washing the vehicle. Then I pulled it in, clayed the paintwork and windows, and dried it off with microfibers.

I polished up the exhaust.

I taped everything up and preped the surface for a light polishing. The tail lights were bothering me so I took care of them right off the bat.

Then on to the paint.

After using some M205 and a white LC pad I waxed using AutoGlym HD.

This is what I had after a few days and a few coats of wax.
