Never heard of Green Diamond. I'm very happy with my Dunlop Winter Sport M3s though. I'd go with a well-known, highly-recommended winter tire. After all...it's your daughter's protection that you're dealing with.

A few months ago I did put 4 new Goodyear Intregrity tires on her car, which are more all-season and aren't rated real high on the snow & wet traction. With the winters here in this part of Indiana rarely bad I've never had to considered a winter tread, however, I think you're right White95Max, I should probably spend a few bucks for some winter treads for her. Lesson learned the hard way...

You can never imagine the traction of a good winter tire until you've driven on them in the snow. I'll admit it, I still have a big grin across my face every time I drive through the snow. And when I purposely lose traction (in parking lots :D ), the tires are extremely predictable. You always know when they're at the limit, and when they'll grab again. Absolutely fantastic.

I will NEVER drive on all-seasons in winter again. Actually, I'll probably never drive on all-seasons again, period. Summer tires and winter tires for me.

I put Blizzak WS50's on my wifes Lexus GS300. Her car now officially handles better on sxno than my 03 Ram with the factory 20s and tires. She was worried that a RWD car wouldn't handle well in the snow. Now I could'nt trade her for my truck if I paid her! :D

Nothing beats a great set of winter tires.

Funny thing. I live in the epitimy of snow belt and have three RWD vehicles. :D

Sorry for hijacking the thread... IMO, if you are going to be detailing your car, there is no reason whats-so-ever to spend any money on the xz product. If you don't want to detail and want to buy the stuff then make sure, before you committ, that you fully understand the warranty, contract and the dealership's guidelines/rules for reapplying the stuff (that's how they can guarantee 5 years).

Oh, and hope and pray they apply it correctly and you don't end up with water/moisture spots in the xz coat...
