XMT & Edge on black Chrysler paint...?

Hi

I am going to be using the XMT line of polishes on a black late 90s Chrysler Sebring. I have the Edge green and blue pads from PakShak. The swirls don't seem to be major when the car is not in direct light. However, in the sunlight they are visible and they cover the trunk and there are more than a few on the hood as well. I have a few questions as this will be my first time. :help:

1. How hard or soft is Chrysler paint in general?

2. Will using XMT #3 be too much for this paint? Will it mar the surface?

3. Will XMT #1 and the blue pad finish nicely for an LSP?

4. Any tips or techniques anyone have to offer on this type of car/paint?

(sorry I don't have any pics at this time)

I've used XMT#3 on a orange (LC) pad via PC on everything - GM, Toyota, BMW etc with no issues - actually finishes down LSP ready. In your case - go with the green, you'll be fine.

I've also used XMT #3 with an orange (LC) pad and had good results. I wouldn't say that it "finishes down LSP ready". In fact, my experience was quite the opposite. I followed up with a white (LC) pad and some XMT 1 and had great results on a red hyundai

youll be fine with the xmt line, ive gone through 32 ounces of 1 through 3 and 3 can finish down very close to lsp ready i guess it just depends on techniques used, in your case even if you think you can go ahead and wax afterwards go over it with xmt 1 and a polishing pad anyhow. youll be pleased with xmt. very easy to use.
