Xjr

Client is trading in this XJR tomorrow and he asked me to "tune it up" for him.

His ex-wife had it for weeks prior and it showed:(

I don't have any full AFTER pics but I do have some JUST prior to final waxing pics.

I also only have AFTER shots of the interior. The interior was not horrible, just some dirty seats and lots of dog hair!!!!

Here are a few AFTER pics of the interior

Trunk shot after......The BEFORE shot was taken yesterday afternoon and the AFTER pic was taken today, late afternoon......right around the time I just about passed out from the heat:hurl

Remember, these pics are pre-wax pics........ The finish responded well with a both Poorboys 2.5 and Hi-Temps Medium Cut, both applied with a rotary.

after experimenting with those products I then used Menzerna IP and then FP on the Cyclo.

It was dark by the time I waxed it but I used Hi-Temps Poly Spray

Here is a shot of the rear panel BEFORE

Rear panel AFTER......I am not sure if I did this panel with the 2.5 or the Medcut but I do know that IP and FP touched it:) .....again, no wax

Last pic of the same rear panel but a bit closer up.....the little specks are dust kicked up by the wind and attracted to the car because of static electricty.

Adios,
Anthony

Beautiful as always Anthony! I think the dealer, when this guy trades it in, is going to have a hard time not trying to sell this thing as new! It's going to look better than what he's got on his showroom floor I'd be willing to bet!! :)

As always Mr. Orosco. Another superb job. Simply gorgeous. I will admit though I end up with the same result as you. We're both overheated. :lol

Anthony,

I always love checking out your work. You do a beautiful job.

Gives me something to aspire to !!

Great work

Anthony,

How do you apply FP with the Cyclo? On my BMW it just looked like glue...

Hi Olo,

Yeah the FP can do that at times. Are you using the FP I or the FP II ?

The FP II is an improved formula that deals with the gummy issue as it stays wetter a bit longer.

It may be that you are using too much FP as this causes the pads to overload and not properly evaporate. Also try working the product just until it begins to break down fully then remove.

If it is still a problem then keep a bottle handy with some water and lightly mist the area prior to removal. FP is water based so it wipes away nice and clean.

Hope that helps and again thank you for all the compliments, greatly appreciated:)

Thanks for the suggestions. It took me awhile to figure out what FPII was, my guess is "Menzerna MicroPolish". Correct?

Anyway, I tried both and when I applied FP with a foam applicator pad (not with the Cyclo) it worked out great.

The funny thing was that the difference between IP and FP wasn't that great when I understod how to use FP :( Which probably means that I'm doing something wrong with IP...

P.S. The late reply is due to the fact that I'm now proud father of my second son :band
