Well, as I have a wedding coming up I absolutely can not spend money on car detailing supplies. Whats a man to do when his car is ready to be dried and he realizes he only has 1/4 oz left of his QD. Well, he first curses that he has a wedding and that his fiance' is pinching every penny. Second he thinks what products he already has that might get the job done.
Well, here is the homemade version of Lackfinish (the 1z QD/WAUD product). Grab the 1/4 oz you have left in your Meqs Ultimate QD, and bring that up to the kitchen to accompany your Hart Glanz 1z synthetic wax. Mix 1 part 1z wax and 4 parts filtered Brita water into your MUQD bottle and give it a try on a metal surface. Does it seem to do the job as a booster/spray wax. You betchya!
Go out and try it on the car, trunk comes out great after the first pass and 1 spray. I move onto other horizontal surfaces like the hood and I apply a little more liberally, streaks are very minimal and easily buffed down to slickness. revelation "Wow, I should use less to get more" wahoo!
So, if your in a pinch and you need a spraywax/booster that probably won't clean bird poo well, but will add lots of 1z goodness to your lsp. Go with the 1 part 4 part mix of water and 1z glanz!
