WW's at Walmart...

the wm near me usually has a few packs at a time, they are somewhat hidden with the rest of the kitchen towels but i am definitely hooked for drying and interior work with them, i pick two to four of them up every time in in the store.

They're sold under the Mainstays brand and are sold in houswares. Light blue label, packed 2 together and usually hanging. They can be somewhat difficult to find at first but I have to keep going back to get more because my wife keeps taking mine and using them in the kitchen. Great buy at that price.

Aloha,

On the contrary, even some MF towels out of Korea is inferior to China manufactured MF towels. So not all Korean manufactured MF towels are at par of each other.

Personally, I would recommend using whatever works for you and stick with it. But you can't have enough MF towels. :)

With Aloha,

Ranney :)

Ok, just came back from WM with 5 packs at $2.96 ea., that's $1.48 each for a 16x26 WW, white, nice and soft. This has to be the WW deal of the century. I think I'm actually going to use some in the kitchen, where I previously would have considered a MF towel too expensive..

Still not as cheap as the 25 pack at Sams Club for $11. Decent quality, too.

those at sams club are not WW though

i just picked some up the other day. hard corners which i will snip off!

my car is in the shop for repairs so im looking for a washing fix!

I took a look at these WW's at Walmart today. It seems awfully thin to be good for drying cars. I didn't do a CD test, but do you guys these WW's will do a good drying job without scratching/marring the surface? I haven't used any WW's before, so I'm not an expert on the average thickness of WW's, so some help would be appreciated. If it's good, then I'll be glad to buy it :)

While you are picking those towels up at Wal Mart, pick up a 2 pack of the glass cleaning towels. (76% polyester/24% polyamide) Same section, smae brand. One blue and one white. I only use these on windows. Good stuff.

just got back from walmart also, one of you guys here in the northern va area already cleared out the fairoaks walmart. :(

I just picked up a couple more packs of these yesterday. The price dropped to $2.50 :2thumbs:

That may not be a good thing, a lot of the time that means they're discontinuing it.

Sorry for reposting, but I was curious as to what you guys think of the quality of these WW's. I've never used WW's, and I felt that the WW's were slightly thin to be safe for car paint. Whaddya guys think?

They're fine. They are not the thickest WW's I have, but not the thinnest. They are not the softest WW's I have, but they are not the coarsest (and they haven't been washed yet). However, they ARE the least expensive I have. Just watch out for melted edges as ifoam said (I haven't seen any).

Looked for them in Walmart here in Nova Scotia, could they be in the US only, looked in 2 different Walmarts, they have the same brand for other products, but not that one.

I wondered the same thing. I checked the 2 Walmarts here in Windsor Ontario and they don't have them. I am having a hard time finding any decent MF here, the only ones are at CTC and Costco and I am not sure they are of good quality. Since I have never bought MF towels before, it is hard to know if they are good or bad. Might have to go mailorder to make sure I get some good products.
