WTH is up with tire shops as of late?

 Yea. Quite the saga from a simple tire change. I thought the wrong wheels might happen. lol. sure enough. His supplier should have asked him the VIN #. Which he had on the work order. Would have provided the right trim level for the wheels.:passout:

39 Days later, i finally got the new wheels! :passout: Not quite the same finish, but this is a gun metal gray/silver. I like it better than what i had on. Looked them over before accepting them. 100% PERFECT. NO MOUNTING DAMAGE. Imagine that. I wanted my old ones back to sell, but they needed them as a core charge. $140/wheel if i wanted them. The roads are dry, so i got a chance to seal them with the DP WHEEL COAT. Calling for bad weather tonight. THANK GOD THIS IS OVER!

They must look good against the color of the Xterra.

By the way thanks for recommending the DP Glass Coating. Been happy with it so far.

My story, Took wife's van in to get new tires. 1st broke TPMs, waited 2 days for part, took it back and they could not calibrate 2014 Toyota, Took it to Toyota to get it done $100 but they did reimburse me, While at Toyota they showed me that 3 out of 4 wheels where scraped, Took it back to Center Tire and Scott said they would polish them out when weather got better.

Just to thing right the 1st time

WOW! Its really sad in this day and age that a simple tire change results in damage. Something you should not have to think about when taking your vehicle in for tires.

My story, ...[tale of woe]... Took it back to Center Tire and Scott said they would polish them out when weather got better...

Sorry to hear about that. Are you saying that the Tire Center guys are gonna "polish them out"? If so, I'd reconsider that.
