As for buying Vintage . . . have you checked e-bay? Sometimes I see 4oz non-refillable jars listed on there. It's much cheaper to try it out this way and it's enough wax to do many cars.

I don't know why someone would call another an idiot for trying something that may cost too much money. Would you call someone an idiot for buying a $900K Enzo? Some may and most won't. Is the guy getting the best car on the planet; that's a mtter of opinion. But if you've never driven an enzo, sat in one, or heard one, how can you judge someone else? The answer is you cannot. I wish zymol did give out samples of these high end waxes but they don't and they have good reason not to. If you take the leap of faith, and invest in the high-end crystal line, wouldn't you be upset if you found out others are getting it for free? Bottom line is everything is relative. There's no such thing as the BEST of anything. Choose what works for you, respect those and try to understand why they do what they do. Life's too short. Enjoy it anyway you can; even if it means spending money on something others think you're crazy for buying :hifive:

I am anxious to try my Glasur. With that said, I was wondering what your thoughts are on the various estate glazes and how they compare. I think my next purchase will be Zymol Concours, but I thought I would give Glasur a try first since I read some favorable reports about it.

If you notice, when you get to the higher-end estate glazes, the ratio of white/yellow carnauba changes. For example, Glasur is 100% yellow by volume. Concours, the next level up, changes to 90% WHITE and 10% yellow. That major difference will give you a much deeper color, clarity, and protection. Glasur is a great wax, I mostly sell clients the estate glaze line and the waxes that sell the most are Concours, Destiny, and Vintage. Hope this helps. If you like Glasur, you will LOVE the others. Moe, I would really like to hear about your application techniques/insight on HD Cleanse/Destiny Combo.

Also, what is your observation on longevity on the cars you have Destinied?

As we all know, the prep work is the most important step. Claying is pretty much simple; use the most gentle clay to get the paint as smooth and quiet as possible. Then you can assess do what degree the finish needs correction. If all the prep work is done to your specs, then here my Zymol routine. You HD medium sections at a time; I do the whole hood, and the front bumper and fenders. It's ideal to be working indoors at a temp. no lower than about 60-65. I put about a quarter sized dollup of HD on the Zymol pre-wax applicator and rub in a linear motion. You apply a medium amount of pressure until most of the HD is worked into the paint. I then remove HD using the Zymol Terry. Once the whole car is HD Cleansed, I apply the wax. If I use Destiny, I take about a peanut size amount and warm it in my palms. My palms become oily and I then massage it into the finish. Once again, in linear motion. Don't worry about coverying all the panel. Even if there are areas that are not greasy, rather glossy, when you wipe off the wax, you even things out. I let Destiny sit for about 2 min. I then gently wipe off the wax letting the microfiber do all the work. After about a 1/2 hour I Field Glaze the car and that's it. You can apply another layer of wax in about 6 hours. By the 3rd layer, the finish takes on a whole new look and level of protection. If the car is garaged and properly maintained, Destiny should last about 4-6 months. Hope this helps.

MM, have you used Zymol Titanium? With the other Zymol products I already have I don't anticipate buying it anytime soon, but I am curious about it. How does it compare in appearance and durability with the other Zymol offerings, both the cheaper ones and the more expensive EGs?

I was looking at pics of Paul Dalton use his Royal with a applicator he stated to me on detailing world that using a app is a better way to apply estate. I have ital but I am not sure how i should apply it

What I like about Zymol is the prices are set. You cannot sell below MAP. If you find prices below what's on Zymol's website, then the authorized reseller will get his license pulled. Anything above Titanium should be applied by bare hand.

Paul is applying the wax improperly. Not sure why he would tell you to put royale on by applicator. In his videos, he's doing it by hand. Apply Ital by hand.

I use Titanium on my standard details. It should last roughly 2-3 months with proper care. Compared to the estate glazes such as Concours and Destiny, the results are night and day. You will get a much deeper and more intense color from the higher end waxes. Protection is higher too. You can use a foam pad to apply Titanium and everything else higher you do with bare hands. If you ever take a small peanut size amount of the estate glaze waxes, you notice a gritty feeling. That I'm told is raw white carnauba. You have to melt it in your hands to properly break it down and then you massge it into the finish.
