Write-up feedback. Not thorough enough...

hey Don, I'm with you on that one! I mentioned this site and said a few things about products (not bashful, just open minded) and the next day, bye bye. All that time to type and try to help people, for what? I'll be sticking to this forum. Peace out!

Rightlook.com has a pretty interesting detailing forum. Otherwise, Zaino users will find the corvette forum helpful as many users there swear by the stuff for their 'vettes and Sal posts there from time to time too. VWvortex forum is informative as they discuss some of the fundamentals of detailing.

To stop unsightly pop up windows may I suggest POP-Up Stopper or Surf Pal from www.Panicware.com. Pop up stopper is free and works great. It buzzes when a window tries to open and if you want to let it open you can by holding the CTRL key.

Surf Pal includes Pop Up Stopper but also has other tools to cleanse your computer of unwanted internet contaminates. Think of it as the ultimate computer detailer. It will remove cookies, histories, temp files. etc. So you tend to get less advertizing junk.

With less elbow grease!

OK back to detailing!

Just incredible craftsmanship!!!!! , however will a E-92 owner spend in excess of $5,200.00 us for this? and now we know how much paint has been removed with the Positech readings alot!!.

If a customer will spend this kind of jack I am all for this level of detail as the car looks like it should have in the first place, also now with the paint on the thin side I hope this car is not a daily driver as aggressive correction in the future will be very dicey.

I love to see this level of work as it gets me fired up for my own business, England sure has some insane correction guys and the shop the work was done in is "tightness" as well.

"That's brill that is"..........

Very true Bob on all points.

No tossers in that post. It's absolutely brilliant. Simply cracking! - That's the extent of my "Queens English"....

I'd do it to my own car just for the heck of it.

When I first saw Paul Daltons work about 5 or 6 years ago, by in the Zymol stone age...I was under the mpression this is what he did for $6k.

My interpretation was that he sanded each panel so that they all had the same level of paint. Then shined them up.

Probably the most comprehensively documented write-up on paint renovation I?ve seen thus far.

And as you said Kelly is certainly no tosser

Thanks Admin! :hurray:

I just thought the extent of effort taken to definitively measure progress was insane.

This poster absolutely used technology to their benefit!

So who is going to be the first to uy a "gloss meter" and post one of these in the US.

I think David Fermani mentioned finding one of these devices for sale.

I think this tool could raise the bar for detailing. Start a "scorecard" that could be used to gauge a detailers progress in their career.

[Place the gloss meter on the surface to be measured, press the required angle button and the gloss reading will appear on the display. This reading will be held until another reading is taken. The instrument will automatically switch off when not in use. Easy to read two-line alphanumeric display with back lighting, powered by internal rechargeable batteries, battery voltage can be checked on the display. French, Spanish and German language versions are available on request]
