would this type of sg application yield results?

There is no cure!
i was thinking. i love sg. its really durable and give a good sterile shine beggin for a carnuba! the only time ive ever left sg longer than 3 minutes on my car it was a pain to buff off. especially since i put it on too thick the first time.. i was thinking off applying sg to my car at night... giving it a good clean layer... then leavign it on for the rest of the night... just to wake up in the mornign and give it a good clean wash... that way it would make the sg easier to remove, i would have left it on longer, hopefully giving it a little better shine and durabilty... it kinda reminds me of the spit hine method of carnuba waxes but not quite.

what do u guys think? is it do-able?

ill hopefully follow it that same day with an application of #16!

oh and trust me... pics will be in! both og the sg itself after the ngiht. and with the 16 on top... if all goes well pics would be in by saturday night!

I routinely let SG cure over night .I think that is a great practice. The key to removing SG without difficulty is applying it incredibly thin. So thin it's counter intuitive. I have mine in a small spray bottle and apply a tiny dot to a dampened mf pad. It's incredible how much such a small amount can cover. That dot can more or less cover an entire front fender of my Audi A4. Another trick I learned is using your breath to help remove it . Breathe on the area you're buffing and wipe. It really does work well. Once you get nuances of the product down, you may find it to be much easier to work with. HTH

i dont plan on buffing it off. i plan on washign it off... results shoudl stay the same right?

assuming that leavign it on over ngiht would attract dust a nd dirt since it will eb outside, buffing it off would proabbly leave scratches...

Oh, didn't know the car is not garaged. IMO buffing is still a lot easier and less time consuming than washing it off. It also more closely matches the original directions of the product. I'd carefully dust the car first if you don't have a car cover. I just read covering a car with curing SG ought to be just fine granted you are using a breathable car cover. Also, if you don't mind applying daily for a while, you could also use a simple, immediate wipe on ,wipe off method every 24 hours to build up applications, eliminating the concern of overnight dust attraction altogether. I would assume consistant daily applications wiping on and off will meet if not exceed the traditional method of overnight, once every 24 hours applications. In fact this is the application I would choose if I were you given the soon-to-return humidity in FL. I think a car parked outside with curing SG in the high FL humidity is going to have problems curing correctly. AFAIK, the wipe on-wipe off method is probably your best bet given that.

Yeah that ^^^ I always wanted to know that. Can I leave the SG on with-out buffing out yet and then wait till next day(24hr) can I just hose it down? Will this work?

I doubt hosing it down alone will work, you might just wind up with wet cured SG. I'd say soap is necessary but bear in mind questionable results/durabilty not to mention the added work of drying the car completely including all the cracks and crevices. For me, washing deviates too much from the official directions. In fact, I'm unaware of manufacturer recommendations of completely washing a car as the final procedure in the application process.

I find SG isn't for everyone, especially in the case of one without a garage who doesn't use the wipe on-off method. Other sealants which are easier to apply and remove and can be completed entirely in one day ( and layered in one day) are offered from other brands sold online as well as locally.

Well I love your idea of washing it off the next day. I'm gonna try that for my next trial. I've got 2 coats of SG on my car now (put a coat last night) and 3 is for me!!!

I'll report here on this thread. Gimme 2 days....

Another thing I wanted to add...

When you remove the SG all that comes off is wasted product anyway so when you allow it to cure overnight you wouldn't be removing any of the product that is protecting your car, just the left over.

I shall conduct the experiment...

As always,be sure you use very clean, if not new washing materials when washing. After all of that, you don't want to ruin your Klasse application from wash induced micromarring

ive done the wowo method and results havent been ebad. but like many products, i hear more and more how they better when left to cure. for example the instrustions on poorboys ex say to leave on for 45 minutes for maximum shine and durabilty, but in the case of direct sunlight wowo...

when ive applied sg and its been a pain to remove people have always suggested to use a quickdetailer...so washing it would be like using a quickdetailer sorta kinda maybe! lol.. i dont mind washing...washign is simple. especially when the car is clean and has only been outside for a night... i just sweep it thru the paint rather than passing back and forth. i would proceed to dry with a microfiber applicator... and if any sg residues remain i would buff off with spray and gloss and a micro... that itself takes 25 minutes altogether...

time is not a factor. if i had a garage, with a t.v. flourecents and high wattage lights, an airconditioner, and a couple of drinks ina cooler i dont think i would ever stop detailing my car... as soon as id come back from a drive id probably quick detail it.. and add another coat! lol... GOD I GOT THE BUG BAD!

I hear you on getting the bug bad :bigups ...........and there's NO cure :D

If you're ever short for time re applying SG, just remember, tiny tiny amounts spread evenly and you'll likely not have removal issues. Works every time for me.
