Worst interior I've yet to see ... DISGUSTING

I overheard a lady I work with say she is going to have her 2006 Hyundai Tuscon detailed at the local hack shop. She says mostly interior shampoo of carpets, seats, etc. I tell her I'll do a better job than them, so she gives me the job.



She tells me "I hope you're up for a challenge, it's pretty nasty".



She wasn't kidding, this is the worst interior I have EVER seen!!!! My jaw drops when she pulls up. I've never seen anything this bad in my life, let alone tried to clean it up. I tell her I'll give it my best but I'm not sure I can make it perfect.



Well, it's a lot better but not perfect. I think some of those stains are set and just won't budge ...



Pretty gross .... but have a look it you like to watch horror shows ....

I'm 95% satisfied considering how nasty they were to start with.



Funny thing is ... this lady seems pretty neat at work. Unbelievable how she treats her car.

WOW you must have spent some serious time behind an extactor! Absolutely amazing turnaround.



By the way, how much did you charge for that?
 
I spent about 5 hours total on the interior .... I've never spent so long on seats before. The carpet was pretty bad too, but the upholstery is a textured fabirc which really was a pain to work with so the seats were the worst part.



I have a small spotter extractor and a steamer ... I used both on this job.



She works with me so I'll probably give her a break on the price. What would you charge for this interior?

$100+ for a normal customer, simply because I would have to pre-soak, scrub, and then extract every carpeted surace.



What a lot of people do, is they just scrub it and wipe it off and it looks alrgight but that crap is still in the fabric, you have just reloacted it (not to mention unless you use an extractor to dry, your windows will fog up for a few days) not actually sucked it out. Thus, I charge more for interior stain removal because I do in fact remove the stains, and if the customer wants, I apply scotch guard afterwards to protect.



However, on a job like that, I would throw in the scotch guard.



Quick question, what exactly did you use the steamer for? That high heat did not damage the fabric? People often get steamers mixed up with extractors, but I am assuming you did not since you said you have both.
 
She has toddlers and I think it was mostly juice, food, etc. But dang ... it was NASTY. Remember, this is a 2006 so that vehicle is only 1 year old and the seats are permanently stained.
 
Yeah, I pre-soak, scrub with a nylon brush, and then extract with a rinse solution for the carpets.



I mostly used the steamer to clean all the interior plastic and get the dried juice, soda, etc. out of all the nooks and crannies.
 
that has to be the worst interior i've seen by far. excellent work, i wish i were there to actually see your process first hand.

Believe me ... I was absolutely humping to get it done in 5 hours. But I couldn't get started until 6PM and I had to get up for my "real job" at 5:45 the next morning.
