Here is a pic of my baby Lucy. She is my first brand new car and I started her out right, still learning, but I didn't even let the dealer try to shine her up for me....I told them they weren't putting marks on her b4 I even drove her home. Hubby doesn't even get to wash her....

Awesome car! I love any red color so nice color too :D. Looks like you should have a lot of fun with it.

What are your plans for the first detail?

Yup, I am a girl, and I love keeping my Z shiny! That's why I joined up here, to learn more and more, and become even more obsessed than I already am.

First detail of the spring will be engine bay/interior only. I got hit a while ago (NOT my fault!) and she is in the shop, so with fresh paint on her I am not taking any chances. I have never "detailed" her engine bay--although it's been kept clean, I have been taking notes, and I am ready to take an entire afternoon cleaning it section by section. I also would like to get underneath her and polish up the Borla true dual exhaust my husband and I installed. I got some Mothers Billet Polish that should do well for that......we have access to a lift if I really want to get that undercarriage pretty! I'll be sticking around here, some great information, and seems like a great group of people here too......

So you're a woman, huh? Well, be careful with your bra! Er, I mean the one on the car. :o They can tend to leave marks on the paint. As for the other kind of bra, I wouldn't have any idea what to be careful of!:shocked

:p I am always careful with all my bras! ;) Heehee

I take the bra off b4 washing, and actually use the wet-dry vac to vacuum it first, then rinse it with water and leave it to dry while I am washing the Z. I don't take it off unless I am going to wash. Since she is in the shop now, and they have to replace the bumper (not my fault) I will probably be leaving it off. I am assuming that the bodyshop will put more paint on it than the wee thin layer it came with from the dealership. I started noticing rock chips w/in a week of getting her, that's why it's on there. Plus the fact that I asked them to leave that darned front plate bracket off of her nose, and if I decide to get an aftermarket billett grille I can't use the bra with it anyhow.

The worst was when the bra was frozen and I had to take it off....ouch:shocked
