I read a little from one of the links provided about this oil. Never knew about it before. I have always used Mobile 1 syn, so is this Castrol supposed to be equivalent or better than the M1 stuff? Just curious if I should run around looking for it on the next oil change....

I wouldn't bother. Mobil 1 synthetic is fine. Just another internet hype.

I'm sure it will depend slightly on the specific application, but the German Castrol gives superior oil analysis results many times over Mobil 1. That's not to say that Mobil 1 is "bad."
