I just had the exterior of my 68 912 professionally detailed by Todd with Esoteric Auto Detail and now its time for me to try to take on the interior. http://www.autopia.org/forum/pro-de...che-912-restoration-esoteric-auto-detail.html
What do you guys recomend for cleaning an old (40 year old original finish) wood wheel? it is currently tacky, and pretty dirty from years of use.
i want somthing that will clean and protect it for many more years of use, but i know traditional wood cleaners (pledge et al) will leave it too slippery and not safe for use.
is there a good product to use, or method that those of you who work on vintage cars recomend? I know im not a pro, and should probably ask on the other detailing section first, but i figure professionals on this forum would have more experience with old school wood wheels (the finish is much different than the newer ones) than the amature and diy guys.
thanks in advance guys!!
