WOO, WOWO, Bill's Method???????

I'm about to pick up the Klasse twins and in my research I've come across WOO in reference to SG.

After doing searches on WOO method and Bill, I got a lot of threads and posts REFERING to the "WOO Method" but NONE actually explaining what the heck it is.

All those posts are useless to me without knowing what WOO is. Someone please tell me, because it looks like a really interesting debate!!

check the hall of fame if you see something mentioned alot but cannot find the actual thread, chances are its there.

Not so this time, maybe it should be :)

No, my thread is not in the hall of fame. I wonder who I have to pay to get it in there! :D .

If you have any questrions, post or PM me.

Bill.

I tried the Woo method this weekend and it was still kinda hard to get the SG off. I'm not saying it doesn't work. Maybe I just didn't do it right. It did get easier the thinner I applied it. I found the Sonus spritz took it off extremely easy too.

When you apply SG extremely thin..does it look like it kind of disappears?

l33,

No I haven't tried FMJ yet. I'm trying to test as many products as possible this summer, but my time is limited. I just tried Zaino this past weekend (review in a month or two), and wolfgang a couple of months ago.

Ashley,

SG can still be a PITA with WOO, especially if it is hot outside. I woo'd the blue car 2 weeks ago in 30 degree celcius weather, and the SG was a bit tough to get off.

Yes, when the SG is very thin it does look like it disappears. It's very hard to see.

I'm not a big fan of tampering (souns, water, any QD) with the SG before it has cured. Just my preference. YMMV.

More important than WOWO is applying SG very thinly. You should barely see it on the paint. If you put it on too thick, no method is gonna help you take it off and keep it from streaking afterwords. I use Bill's method and one time I knew I put too much on the hood and it started streaking 2 days later although I could buff it off at the time. Sonus took off the streaking afterwards with no problem.

I agree with Bill though, not a big fan of using QD's to buff off anything.

Bill,

Cruising through some more of your posts re SG, I notice that you make mention more than once about durability in the Toronto winter. Properly applied, do you think SG will last from November through March or April?

Also, are you the friendliest guy on Autopia because you are Canadian? Or is that just a coincidence?

Jason,

3 coats of SG applied 1 week apart with a wax topper on the 4th week will last 6 months. I stetched it to 8 this year, but I could tell the SG was definitely dead. The car still looked fantastic, but the water was clinging to the surface when I washed it. The year before I only waited 6 months prior to detailing and the water was still sheeting on the surface decently. If you do this then you should have no problems from Nov to April.

As for my sig, I put that in there as a joke. :D I've gotten into my fair share of flame wars on this site over the years. I know, very bad of me. :nono .

Bill. :)
