Wolfs Mask

Anyone use this product. Real world review/experience.

I find this product interesting in that it's something I can spray on the car.....when I need to bring it to the shop - and just pressure wash it off, to mitigate/minimize any marring that may incur

The Mask is a spray on HEAVY FILM buildup. It's not a coating...

Sorta to analogize - a protective Plasti-Dip for the area being covered that washes off with water

aka - in my mind, I would plasti-dip the panels when I bring it to the shop of mods, and such...

less marring by the wrenchhead.

There are a couple of these products out now, and I too am interested to hear how well they work. Exact same concerns- cars that are going in for service.

The only other competing product I see is the 3M, but that's a a different animal which requires one to mechanically remove it.

Care to share what's out there....

That's the other one I was thinking of..."mechanical removal" huh? That doesn't sound too appealing :grinno:

yeah, I had looked into it, but I guess I just don't have the need very often for something like that. I can see where it would come in handy, but wolf's HB was really hyped and everyone was talking about it and it appears it was sort of a bust.

I did a very brief search thread on Wolfs' Body. Seems like there are some favorable reviews out there, some from some *old autopian's* I'd remember and not take with a grain of salt.......

I'm going to order up a bottle and just lay it on.

I'd want to see how thick it lays, ease of removal, and does it affect the LSP in any way after removal.

All 3 would be a balance of it's performance in my eyes.

My tuner always lays downs a mat on the fenders, but eh, a grease monkey is a grease monkey....fingers on the hoods, the inevitable fingers on the door edge, etc.

Spray it on and it levels out very nice. I used it on my new truck when I bought it up north over top of wolfs body wrap. No effect on that. Bugs will pressure wash right off.

Hi Bryan -

Did it level to a thin coating.

Or to rephrase, how thick was it.

I don't care on appearance. I actually would not mind a thick product - but then I suppose the viscosity of it would be different. Is it think enough to let's say, someone in jeans in a full lean on the panel would not make any *dent-marr* to it, dur to Hard Body serving as the film in between the paint.....

I have Wolfs Mask and have used it several times. It is thick, but still thin enough to use a hand sprayer. I spray two light coats on 1/3 of the hood & front bumper. It is very helpful to prevent bugs from sticking and it does offer some protection from grit and pebbles. I only use it before a long trip because it is so expensive. It does wash off with soapy warm water, so it isn't practical for those of us who wash our cars every week or two.
