Jesse was kind enough to send me a small sample of Wolf's new coating...Hard Body and just a few samples of his polishes.

It will go on our BMW first, over top of Body Wrap. When? Maybe this week.

Mike, here is a video of Jesse showing how hard that Hard Body is. The side that is marring has Body Wrap on it, Jesse says that BW adds some hardness but this really shows how hard that HB is:

Here is a long thread about HB:

Wolf's new nano sealant "Hard Body" is ready!!! - Detailing World

Oh my God, what is he doing to that poor lighter???

Just kidding. That's actually pretty impressive. Do you know how long it's supposed to last, or should I just start reading the DW thread?

I'm reading 2 years.

Thanks Bryan. I actually took the time to read it, so I've got a little better idea of how the nano-particles in Wolf's products work. The only bad thing is now I'm curious to try them....:wof::wof::wof:

I'm now applying Body Wrap with a GG polisher speed 3 w/ 2 drops per panel and flat black pad. 10-15 mins and the BW is applied leaving just about nothing to wipe off. Jesse says Hard Body can be applied in the same manner. I hope to have time to try Hard Body over Body Wrap in the next few days on our BMW time permitting.

Hard Body will be sold in a 5oz (150ml) bottle. Some have reported getting 25 cars out of a 5oz bottle of BW, I see no reason that you wont be able to do the same with HB. Pricing has not been released for the US market yet, I'm guessing we should under $2 an application for Hard Body and applying it in under 15 mins via machine will be really something.

Thanks Thomas!

Last night I finally had time to wash and apply Hard Body to our BMW.

Hard Body is fine to be applied over Body Wrap which I applied to the BMW at least a month ago.

After the wash I did an IPA wipedown just to be safe. IPA will not remove BW, I just wanted a clean surface. I applied HB just like I applied BW. GG speed 3, black flat LC pad and 2 drops per panel.

This morning prior to my wife heading out for the day I took a few pictures, not the best example...

Great pictures! I'm looking forward to updates on this. Can it be applied to trim? Did you apply it to anything besides the paint?

Thanks Luke!

Those are some great questions. I'll will contact Jesse and ask him. I only applied it to paint. I did ask him about wheels over his Rim Shield and he had not tried it, but thinks no issues. I think he also said not for glass.

I would like to know if it could be applied successfully on an Opti-Coated/ Opti Guarded vehicle. That scratch resistance is quite impressive and if it sticks for 2 years to an opti-coated surface we are talking about the ultimate protection!

I am planning to put HB over Opti-Coat soon. On another forum I was told by Jesse (main guy at Wolf) that I "should be" ok to do this. I'll go over the paint first with a light polish.

Is there a particular reason why you're wanting to do that? Seems kind of redundant to me...

Because HB is suppose to be more scratch resistant than OC but OC has the durability. Guess he's trying to get the best of two worlds.
