Wolfgang vs. Blackfire

Am very interested in this thread!

So far in the photos it appears this contest is very close. In some photos it appears the black fire side on the right may have just the slightest darker and deeper look? However in real life that may not be the case.

Interested in knowing if the OP can see subtle differences in look that he might like to elaborate on a bit more? Possibly this could translate into which colors each product may enhance the most?

To slightly derail here, I have found the Wolfgang Spray spriz much better for after wash than the BF poly spray. Even when the base is BF. I will still use the BF poly to remove the BF polish, but the Wolfgang for weekly maint is a real stunner....

To my eyes there is really very little to no difference between the two sides. I will actually be testing the new meg rinseless wash on it this weekend and will try and do another update.

The one thing I have noted so far is that the BF side sheets water slower than the WG side. You can see this in my previous videos.

Thanks for the info Glen. I to have WG sealant spritz and like the shine it leaves. But for this test I am not using and QD or top-ups as I want to know the true test of the products.

agreed and that's why I acknowledged the slight derail - it surprised me when I put on the wolfgang, it's a lot better , IMO..
 
**Update**


Well it has been another 2 weeks and I figured I should do another update on the progress of this test.
The truck has been driven about 40 miles in the past 2 weeks. Mostly in town back and forth to school. But I did take it to work one day. Which is out on some rural roads.


The Conditions:
Temp: 40*F (Feels Like 33*)
Humidity: 51%
Wind: 10 mph
Dew Point: 23*F


The Products Used:

Wash Mitt: Cobra Bone Microfiber Wash Pad
Wash Media: Meguiar's D114 Rinse Free Express Wash

For this wash I am using the new Meguiar's D114 Rinse Free Express Wash than Richard (rwright) was nice enough to send me. I will be posting my thoughts on this new wash in another thread. But D114 is not supposed to contain any polymers or gloss enhancers that could affect the outcome of this test.

It is worth noting that the BF Side of the vehicle sheets water at about half the speed of the WG side. It is not a bad thing yet as they both sheet, but the BF is simply slower. Both sides of protection are defiantly still there and you can see a definite line where they were taped off.


Side note: The truck is going into the body shop next week to have the driver’s side worked on. Hopefully this will not affect the testing.

At the conclusion of your current test, it might be interesting to try Black Fire Polymer Spray and Wolfgang Spritz Sealant to top off all four sections to see the full range of conditions that a user of either brand may put these products thru and how they fare?

I m curious on why u using different car wash soap throughout r test. Wouldn't using one soap throughout the test keep the focus on the lsp u are testing out.

Mostly because I used the last of my CG Maxi Suds II on the 2 week update. And I was given a sample of the new Megs D114 to test and thought that this would be the perfect subject. Truth is I have a few different soaps I wan to try and as long as it doesn't leave anything behind it will not change results of this test.


Variety is the spice of life. :D

I will consider doing a spray sealant test when this is finished depending on how long it goes. But at this time I don't have any of the new BF Polymer Spray, only the old spray sealant.


The plan for this vehicle is to perfect it and OG it in the spring/summer.

Thank you. I have not forgotten.

The truck is currently in the body shop getting the drivers side door fixed and re-painted. I should have it back tomorrow and I will be checking to see if the test area is still ok or if it has been compromised.
