Wolfgang pre-wax as Zaino Z2 prep?

I've got the Wolfgang "pre-wax polish enhancer" from the generous sample kit. I prefer Z2 to the Wolfgang Sealant, but am wondering about the pre-wax product as a prep for Z.

Before a major Z application, I usually clay. Would the Wolfgang do anything significant in addition to the clay? And for when I don't clay, I'm looking for a prep product for Z that doesn't require a second wash before the Z goes on. Since I've got the Wolfgang...Also wonder if it might do more for slight swirls and water marks than AIO?

I've got a 1 year old white Honda Civic. Never garaged. Usually has at least a coat or 2 of Z on her. I work by hand, no P-C (yet...).

The description from autogeek.com says that the product isn't abrasive (which is one reason I wonder if it is worthwhile in this situation...):

"Wolfgang Pre-Wax Polish Enhancer actually enhances and preserves your carâ€â„¢s surface by deep cleaning to remove embedded dirt and old wax, without abrasives or harsh chemicals. It minimizes swirls and scratches in the paint, making them seem to disappear. When you finish, your carâ€â„¢s surface will be clean and glass-smoothâ€â€the best possible surface for applying wax."

Thanks in advance for any experience or advice shared.

If I remember correctly from when I last used the WG pre-wax cleaner that it left an oily residue. It did a great job in terms of cleansing but I really would hesistate to use as a pre-Zaino prep without at least a Z7 wash.

I love the WG QD on Zaino. Really nice combo on established Z protected vehicle. :xyxthumbs

When I used it, I didn't think there was an oily residue. But you're right--the autogeek description does say it's an "oil-in-water emulsion."

Any ideas on how effective this stuff is in cleansing compared to P21S or some others?

I would say that P21S GEPC and VM are slightly better cleansers than WG.

AIO is quite a bit more effective than both GEPC, VM and WG.

All would work great on a well cared for finish with only very minor marring. :xyxthumbs

I thought GEPC contained some abrasive action, where AIO does not? For slight surface marring/swirls, if you think AIO does the job, I can understand why it's becoming so popular as a prep for Z. No wash needed after.

Is anyone providing sample amounts of Klasse? I thought at one time there was a dealer of it who did.
