Wolfgang or blackfire

Corey, I was wondering if I would get any backup !!

I think were some of the last few dedicated BF'ers.....

:o I'm itching to try new products just because.

Maybe this weekend I'll try some wolfgang.;)

My BF has gathered some dust at the back of the cabinet ever since I tried WG twins. Maybe its the combo of the two, but the results are stunning and easy, easy, easy! Can't beat that! Why work more, when you can play more???

Wolfgang all the way.... I waxed my dark SUV last Sunday with it and it looks better than the day I drove it off the lot.

Would HIGHLY recommend it, did a silver BMW with it four weeks ago and it is still gleaming. Have not used BF so cannot compare.

I was a Zaino zealot but tried the WG twins on my Lunar Mist Tacoma and my Indigo Ink Pearl Highlander. WG brought out the green in my Lunar Mist like nothing before. I was real happy with the depth of shine and color on both. The real surprise was when my wife walked out to get into the Highlander and stopped, stepped back, and said WOW! Now THAT's a compliment. As long as the car starts my wife is happy! For her to notice the shine says alot!

I LOVE MY BLACKFIRE! To date I haven't used anything but BF on my Z, ....

Another 350Z owner on the board. There seem to be a few of us now. I liked what Blackfire did for my blue Z but will likely experiment with either UPP or Wolfgang in the next few weeks to see if I get better results.

I Wolfed (I love saying that) a Gold last week and the owner gave me the biggest tip ever. Coincidentally, I had used BF in the past and he was happy, but not THAT happy!! This guy is the epitome of picky! I like WG because its so quick and easy which means a I get better results in less time. (I like the extra cash, but the satisfaction is in the awesome outcome.

What is the diferrence between the two? (WG & BF) People compare them a lot! They do look similar, on my car, but which one has the better durability?

Also, they BOTH work best when layered 2-3 times!

I haven't tried WG, but I love Blackfire. I haven't experienced any streaking problems and, next to FMJ, it is the easiest to remove. It has a nice glow about it and it's not overly reflective. Just my 2 cents.:)

What kind of durability have you been getting out of the BF? As much as I like the look of WG, durability seems to be lacking here...

I have not ever used Blackfire, but Wolfgang is my favourite sealant on black. As has been discussed earlier on the thread 3 coats seems the optimum. It gives great depth on black and a nice wet look, which is added to if topped. For me it just has the edge on Poorboys EX.

I find using a clearkote MF applicator you can get really nice thin coats. I leave between 30-60 mins and it wipes of streak free.

On silver and lighter colours I prefer 1Z Glanz wax.

I get about 6 months of beading with one coat of Blackfire applied over one coat of Klasse AIO on my wife's daily driver. It is garaged at night. I tried Wolfgang once and was disappointed in the finish after a rain hit the car within one day of application. I think the product might not have fully cured, but I never had this problem with Blackfire or UPP.

Don't know. I never let it get to that point on my car. After three or four weeks, I either put on more of whatever I have on or I put something else on.

I really like the look WG gave me and it was very easy to use, but durability has been another story. I had pretty poor results and after a month there was no protection at all on about 4 or 5 different cars :(

I know other members have gotten good durability results with it so I guess YMMV :nixweiss

Can't say much about BF because I never used it.
