Wolfgang Fuzion vs Pinnacle SS2 vs Pinnacle XMT 180 vs P21s 100%?

I have and still use the old XMT, not the XMT180, and it is pretty nice. It is easy to apply and remove, doesn't last real long, but does provide a pretty nice glossy finish. It also smells pretty good, too.

Will not stain trim. But I would avoid it getting on trim.... Like the post sbove prep id the key. Men. PO85RD is ny choice. After PO85RD you paint will look amazing. You will not want to top with anything.

Fuzion - does it stain trim? I guess I should have thought about that before I bought it huh...lol

(not that I coat the trim with it, but I love C845 because it doesnt matter if it hits trim, it wipes right off)

That hasn't been my experience at all. Then again, I live in SC and you live in Alaska, so it may be a temperature thing.

Agreed. It's usually an application error that makes it hard to remove. When used properly, it is very easy to remove. Not Souveran easy, but easy none the less.

Still waiting on pictures of Fuzion you guys...

I don't think I can slip it past my better half without something to justify it with. Yes, I know, I'm pathetic. But such is life.

Got some thoughts on 180 before and had to check it out. Its glossy, does give depth its really best on what i would desribe as those obscure colours.

That bright blue you get on the Audis, the dark blue on the Jettas, the dark orange/sunburnt colours, purples.

Anywhere where creating a glossy finish is the best option!

Even though I've only used Fuzion one time (Thanks to Eliot Ness), I was pretty impressed with it. I tried applying extra thick (Which I usually do the time time I use a new wax to see how removal goes) and it still off with almost ZERO effort. I used it on a silver Series One Shelby, and it had a very nice look...especially after curing for 24 hours.

My only thought is that it is crazy that a product that used to retail at 175 can be sold for 50 bucks (and still have mark up!).

I personally would choose P21s 100% in the fifty range...

As autogeek stated. It froze and cracked. They can't sell a highend wax that is cracked. Plus, with the normal price. You have to figure in the wooden box($30), which you don't get with the BOGO. So without the wooden bow your talking $140 normal price with a refill. It's basically $40 off with no box.

Remember you get a refill and a box with the $175 price tag.

I agree with Todd on this, not the P21 100% part - haven't tried that, but the mark-up of Fusion. Seems like it's overpriced and didn't sell, so now we see "cracked" wax for much less. Ooooooooooooooo K. Nobody mentioned Dodo waxes - and of the ones I've tried, Hard Candy looks the best.

I've received great feedback from clients about how their vehicles look after driving in the rain. The water beads well and slides off. Drys with little to no water spots. Its easy to apply and surprisingly easy to buff off. It also doesn't stain rubber!

+1 to those comments regarding P21S 100%. I've applied it once to my E300. It's easier to remove than apply, a plus. The rain DOES bead off and roll off VERY NICELY, better than after an application of Aquawax. I know that Aquawax (very good product) and P21S are different products, just stating observations. And I don't recall it staining of my plastic/rubber trim being stained.

And if the car is a garage queen, the P21S actually lasts a good amount of time on the paint finish. The car spends 95% of it's time sleeping in the garage. I last applied P21S 100% back in July of '08. The car has since sat outside for a weekend or two during (wet weekends), hasn't been washed since, AND it still beads as if it were freshly applied.

Funny how you're the ONLY one to mention that :idea

If the cosmetically cracked version performs just as good as the non-cracked than what's the difference? I got my Nattys Red cracked. Also, that box isn't worth peanuts. You can import them from China for next to nothing.

I'll stick with my choice Fuzion X 2 apply with mist and remove with chilled Opti-Detail ....

What does chilling Opti-Detail do to help the process? Do others chill spray waxes or sealants?

:tumblewee

Well........It comes from the theory of spit shinning, and wax cures to a harder state when cooled. Fact or fiction, I don't know, but I am dumb enough to do it. So I use QD's as my choice.. ????????

OK, I just did a comparison on my Xterra NON_PREPPED hood...needs clay, and a good two step to get perfected. Finish was rough to the touch, and slightly hazi. i tried out both waxes without prep to see which one excels under less than ideal conditions.

Fuzion - a little goes a long way

Souveran - had to reload the applicator half way

Fuzion takes a few min to dry (can do a whole car)

Souveran was almost instantly (would only do 1/2 car then remove)

Fuzion took a little longer to remove

Souveran was like butter to remove

Fuzion filled in more defects than souveran did.

Fuzion and Souveran both have the same look right now. its supposed to rain this weekend, so I will check out the beading type, and the characteristics (hydrophobic or not) and report back...

TH0001's fabulous review of P21s is worth a look. Out of all the waxes mentioned here, I'd be willing to try P21s based on his experiences.

http://www.autopia.org/forum/car-detailing-product-discussion/105233-p21s-100-carnauba-review.html

I was a P21s lover when I had the time to wax the cars ever few weeks. In the summer, it could last 4-6 weeks, in the winter maybe 3 weeks tight beads. I had moved to 845IW and this stuff is tough as nails and cheap. It is slick and make the flake pop. I have some p21S I will not use unless its on someone elses car that is a Garage Queen or just to use it up. I have recently tried the Ultima Paint Guard Plus System and so far my August application is beading like crazy and best of all nothing sticks to the paint and its still very slick.

Using the 845 on the wifes truck vs the Ultima on my car to see who wins. So far6 moths and its neck in neck.

Jeff

My 2 cents.
